To start, this is a Perfumon. (Just received it, will update after wearing it for longer). This is the first time I’ve described the opening as the scent of opening a box of fine leather shoes—a soft leather, almost camphoraceous, dominated at first by vetiver and rhubarb, leaving a slightly acidic note reminiscent of a cherry gently smoked with incense; the rose sits a bit in the background while tonka adds a touch of sweetness. The drydown is exquisite, revealing amber and sandalwood, so by 6-7 hours, with a slight chocolatey nuance right up against the skin, it becomes a true delight. It will enchant leather enthusiasts above all, and those looking to move away from mass-market scents in favor of something truly unique, elegant, original, sophisticated, and highly addictive. Performance in the first few days is already quite good; it projects about a meter or so for the first two hours and lasts on the skin between 7-8 hours, though it may change with oxidation, which truly doesn’t bother me. In short, if this were released under the Tom Ford or Bvlgari name, we’d be talking about miracles and paying triple its current price.
