Jasoor by Lattafa Perfumes

The first time I smelled Valentino Born In Roma Coral Fantasy, I thought I had to own it: a delicious masculine scent with an DNA that’s incredibly attractive. While waiting for my order, I bought this Jasoor based on TikTok and forum reviews, despite the divided opinions; you just have to experience it for yourself. At first, I didn’t like it—they were similar but not an exact clone, and it took me in a different direction. I let the perfume rest to see what would happen, and now, after a year, the truth is the scent has changed and smells much richer. Damn, what a delicious aroma! It’s exactly what I expected when I bought it. Great fragrance, and I recommend it 100%. It’s captivating, attractive, and generates compliments. Buy it, your senses will thank you.

I see so many contradictory comments about this fragrance that make me hesitate to buy it… The best thing is to try a decant or test it at the store itself. Although most reviews are positive.

Look, I own this fragrance; I bought it without thinking much, and I recommend letting it macerate for 1 to 2 months. Brand new, it smells a bit odd, sweet, and doesn’t resemble the original Valentino Uomo Coral Fantasy, but people who own it say that after 4 months of maceration, the scent changes and becomes similar to the original. You just have to wait and use what you have. Luckily, I have the original in the meantime, so I’ll have patience.

Notes of apple, soft tobacco, and lavender. The rest is there to round it out. I don’t have Coral Fantasy, but I do have Born In Roma Intense, and there is some similarity (I imagine that sweet lavender). It’s a good perfume for everyday wear, ideal as a signature scent for its charm and distinction. It’s a not-too-common aroma and very versatile.

If you have the chance, try it. I wouldn’t say it’s a blind buy because it’s not for everyone. I have Coral Fantasy in a decant and know it well; they’re between 85 and 90% similar. I was looking for a substitute because there’s a shortage in my country and stores sell it at exorbitant prices. The opening is sweet red apple, less sweet and more realistic than Valentino’s, but the base with tobacco, tonka bean, geranium, and lavender is the best. It’s very rich and full of compliments (note that you need an extroverted personality to pull it off). Sincerely an 8/10 for longevity, although unfortunately it loses a bit of Coral Fantasy’s soul: the persistent red apple in the dry down, which here is very faint and comes and goes. The price is a bargain, between $25 and $30.

Smells exactly like Coral Fantasy, maybe just a touch warmer. It carries the same reputation for compliments as the Valentino masterpiece, but for a third of the price. 10/10 ✅

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Rich scent: apple, sweet tobacco, tonka bean, and cardamom. It gives off an elegant, sweet, and modern vibe; note that it’s sweet tobacco, not pipe tobacco. The first lady who hugged me said, ‘You smell so good, tell me what perfume this is so I can buy it for my husband.’ Friends and family also said it smells ‘chic.’ I wear it day or night in moderate to cold weather with formal attire. I wore it to the office in a suit and got compliments; it works for dates or parties with a serious outfit too. Lasts about 7 hours on skin, lingers on clothes, and projects well; the day someone commented on it, I had the perfume in my jacket and arrived at the office three hours later without needing to reapply. Fair price—you could buy the Valentino for what others charge. The bottle is beautiful and unique. Compliments: 10, Longevity: 7, Projection: 8, Sillage: 8, Price: 10. TOTAL: 8.6

Opened it on Saturday, February 1, 2025; rich aroma but almost zero longevity, very skin-scented. Today, April 7th, it has four times the projection and longevity or more. I wore it at 6:30 AM, and by noon, the perfume was detectable (and I could smell it on myself). Would I buy it again? Absolutely! I was surprised at how the fragrance gained strength over time.

Initially disappointed. They only resemble each other in the opening with Coral Fantasy. Once they dry down, they take different paths; this one smells worse, somewhat smoky and more potent. I gave it a few days, maybe my opinion will change. But it is NOT the same as CF. Three days later: As I suspected, I ended up liking it. It’s a great option if you don’t want to spend a fortune and want to wear it daily. For special occasions, I’d recommend the original.

I bought this fragrance thinking it was a safe blind buy based on all the reviews and because YouTube channels like Fragabi, Perfumones, and Samy rank it as one of Lattafa’s best. Curiously, to me, it’s one of the worst Lattafa scents I’ve tried and probably one of the worst in my collection. It’s a synthetic mess where intense sweetness is the only thing that dominates. I asked my wife, who has a better sense of smell and loves sweet perfumes. She sentenced it by calling it ‘medicinal.’ Luckily, the bottle sits at the bottom of my closet with a very good presence.

If you have any doubts, just buy it. I own the Valentino Coral Fantasy and they are identical. Purists might say there are subtle differences, but in real life, you won’t notice anything. I’ll just say that Jasoor’s opening is a bit synthetic for the first 20 seconds, and then believe me, they are the same. Top.

Excellent price-to-quality ratio. Exquisite aroma, with a sweet and spicy development, highlighting tobacco throughout the dry down. Synthetic opening as expected, but after 30 seconds, notes of apple, cardamom, and bergamota emerge, with a base of lavender and tobacco as the protagonist. Honestly, I don’t like the tobacco note in perfumery, but they did a great job. It’s youthful, informal, for everyday wear, slightly unisex leaning masculine due to the tobacco. I give it an 8/10 because although it smells great, it’s synthetic, but very versatile for fresh climates, nights, dates, and casual outings. Lasts about 6 hours on my skin (unfortunately, fragrances don’t last long on me 😭) with a moderately short sillage. EDIT: I’ve been letting it oxidize for over 3 months, and its performance and aroma improved significantly. Excellent buy if you can grab it since it’s hard to find due to the hype. I tested it side-by-side with Coral Fantasy; Jasoor is slightly more synthetic and fresh, while Valentino is more fruity with a more present tobacco note.

What a delight! I can’t tear myself away from Valentino or Jasoor even blind. Jasoor lasts a bit less, but for the price, there’s no complaint. Absolute masterpiece of luxury, I recommend it 100%.

After wearing it for two weeks, the opening is pure bliss. But watch out, it evolves in seconds to tobacco with apple—rich and enveloping. If you don’t like tobacco, it’s not for you. It’s versatile, ideal for cold weather. Moderate projection, 2-3 hours in the air before sticking to the skin for another 7. It’s not youthful; I see it as perfect for those over 20, well-dressed in a casual-formal style. In short, 8/10.

If you’re impressed by the opening, it’s a 10/10… but then comes the drydown and… same old stuff: bubblegum, sweet, generic.
