It smells heavily like Baccarat Rouge 540 at first, but soon a chocolate note emerges that sets it apart. It’s sweet with sugar, rum, chocolate, and vanilla; it feels more blended and less harsh than similar scents, and the quality is top-notch. Unfortunately, testing it in a decant makes it hard to compare with the regular version or the extrait. Projection is moderate at first, then it settles to skin scent, lasting about 8-9 hours total. I expected something more bombastic based on reviews, though I understand decants often lead to lighter application; still, it shows great performance without being a beast, just like other fragrances from this brand I’ve tried in bottles. I wouldn’t buy it since I already own similar ones, even though the quality is evident. It’s a BR540 with chocolate—pretty, but there are many options with that profile and performance. If you want chocolate, you can always layer. I’d stick with more original scents from the house.
