Ascendant by Oriflame is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2007, the nose behind this composition is Vincent Schaller. The top notes are bergamot, cardamom, ginger, mandarin, fennel, and grapefruit; the heart notes include lavender, rosemary, and hyssop; and the base notes are vanilla, tonka bean, cedar, vetiver, and cypress.

It has moderate longevity, though the sillage stays very close to the skin. It’s versatile for ages and occasions. I use it for daily wear and occasionally when a girl gets close, she usually likes it. By the end of the day, nothing special, but if you find it at a low price, it’s a steal.
Hey! This fragrance is delicious, I loved it, it’s very soft. I bought it to mix with other strong scents to mellow them out, resulting in a delicious and lasting aroma. Today I mixed it with Boucheron and got compliments; the blend is very pleasant. I wouldn’t recommend it just for summer because it fades in 1 or 2 hours. That said, it’s super cheap, I got it for $10 on a promotion, and I also help a friend who sells her products.

Really good fragrance. Out of ten women, eight love it; moderate sillage and projection. In Ecuador it’s not cheap, around $50 or more, but it’s worth it. Smells sweet, vanilla, and woody, similar to Givenchy Pi.
It sounds very masculine and the longevity isn’t great for winter, but the dry-down is the best part; right out of the bottle it smells a bit like Versace Eros.
I don’t know why, but at first it smells like synthetic oud and kind of grosses me out. Then it settles down a bit. Does anyone else experience this?
