Sweet Honesty by Avon

This is a flower scent that changed its formula; it used to be my go-to, and I opened it with a bit of disappointment. Before, it smelled like clean, dusty old books; now it’s more of an intense floral. It’s a classic, so I’ll keep using it because it’s not bad, but that nostalgic touch is gone. It’s still cheap, and I like how it dries down on the skin, even if it starts off strong and a bit rough. The longevity is short, but the size is perfect for a purse.

This was the perfume my mom always wore when I was a kid. I’m not exactly sure how it smelled at every stage, but on her skin, it left that ‘mom’ scent—soft and calming. I’ll have to buy a bottle, give it to her, and hug her, just like I always do, to remember it.

It still smells the same as when I used it in elementary school; every time I smell the catalogs or samples, I’m transported back to my childhood. I liked it as a kid, but not as much as other Avon fragrances, like the princess ones or Exotic Waters. I wouldn’t buy it again because the floral notes are very prominent, especially the rose and talc combo. If I like talc but not so much roses, my tastes have changed. It’s a very girly perfume and, in a way, timeless, though I don’t personally feel it’s very vintage.

A pleasant classic. Smells like powder, it’s retro and baby-powder-like. It’s an innocent and charming fragrance. The aldehydic and floral notes stand out, though I also sense a bit of green; personally, I don’t find it sweet. It’s the daytime version of Avon’s Night Magic; if you like the latter, you won’t regret trying Sweet Honesty. It could be excellent for staying home, sleeping in, or casual outings, even work. The longevity is exceptional, and the projection is moderate. It’s worth more than it costs.

I wore it when I was young, and it’s a scent I still like. It’s very recognizable because it was so popular in my country. It’s an aquatic floral with a slight sweetness, super pleasant.

It brings back my childhood and adolescence. My grandmother sold Avon products and used to gift us perfumes, which is probably why I became a fan from a young age. She would fill me with Avon and Zermat fragrances. I have one in my vanity that she gifted me, and it’s still going strong. I love wearing it to sleep after a shower; my husband likes it too. It’s a scent full of memories.

Sweet Honesty was my grandma’s signature cologne, a classic she adored. As a teenager, I’d sneak into her vanity, smell it, think ‘wow, that’s rich!’ and steal a little bit. Since scent connects so deeply with emotions, I just know I’ll buy it again one day to relive that magical time. 💞💞

I’m trying out several Avon classics I never bought despite using them when I was young, because I considered them too mass-market. Sweet Honesty was one of them. I’d never used it, but after reading incredible reviews, I felt compelled to get it immediately. No regrets. I wear it daily, but especially for sleeping; I find it floral, green, and sweet, and once it settles, it’s so pleasant it lulls me to sleep. Waking up to that scent brings peace. The best thing about these classics is their longevity. Although here it’s only available as cologne, perfume, and deo, it lasts a long time on skin and clothes in all formats. You can smell the flowers first, then the soft musk. I’m very happy to rediscover this well-crafted fragrance.

Tenderness bottled as a fragrance! I found it by following the notes, and it smells like childhood, like a baby, like baby powder. Its sillage is almost non-existent (the cologne isn’t sold here anymore), but it’s excellent for after a shower or before bed. I love classic fragrances, and this one will be with me for a long time. Worth it if you like baby scents <3

It was one of my childhood colognes and sparked my love for florals that continues to this day. It has a herbal note, like freshly cut grass, which cuts through the floral sweetness and gives that sense of cleanliness and freshness. I wish it lasted longer (unlike Far Away, another Avon gem). It smells like a good, beautiful, modest, and simple person.

They gave it to me when it was cold, and it was perfect on my skin. When the heat arrived, it became unbearable, and I had to shower to get rid of it. Wearing it in winter is cozy, very powdery, and rich.
