It lasts the length of a sigh—a disappointment regarding the price, but not enough to hurt.

  2. I think putting age or gender on perfumes is a huge enemy of art. It keeps us from trying compositions we’d actually love. The same goes for the prejudice against cheap perfumes. Cabana de La Rive proves it all: it’s an EDT marketed as for older men, costs a joke (5.95€ for 90ml in German drugstores), and I, a young woman, absolutely adore it. At first, I notice the cinnamon and cardamomo, then a smoky vibe emerges. Once it dries down, it’s warm, spicy, and sweetened with vanilla; it feels very sexy. The trail is great and lasts 5-6 hours on my skin. I love the flask-style bottle. EDIT: It’s amazing layered with vanilla! Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 7/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 9/10, Versatility (for women) 5/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy it again? Probably.

The perfume is really good; it reminds me of mixing Cuba Gold, Mauboussin, and a bit of JPG Le Male… it’s a fragrance made to please everyone, like the popular girl in school that everyone wanted to date. Here, they didn’t risk extravagant tastes; they went for something universally appealing for men. If you ask me if I’d use it, yes, of course. It’s top-tier quality, just as good as any high-end fragrance. Longevity: one application on body and clothes lasts 5 hours with an active bubble of scent around 3 meters that people can still feel. My colleagues always say, ‘You’re wearing something new and great today, what’s it called? I want to buy the same one.’ Obviously, exclusivity is the difference, so I just say it was a gift from abroad and that’s it, haha.
