Perfumes de Dominique Preyssas

Dominique Preyssas is a prolific perfumer of fine fragrances whose work stands out for its precision, beauty, and power. An extraordinary technician, Dominique left the scientific path after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He patiently studied for three more years at ISIPCA to pursue his passion for art and composition.

Dominique then joined the famous Roure Bertrand Dupont Perfumery School, and subsequently worked at Mane Fils—two companies that have produced some of the best noses in the world. Since then, he has moved on to work for Takassago before joining CPL Aromas in 2003.

He has created a wide range of highly successful fragrances for brands around the world. Dominique continues to follow the latest trends both through his love of traveling and through his role as an active member of the Société Française des Parfumeurs.

Outside of perfumery, Dominique likes to recharge his batteries and get inspiration whenever and wherever he least expects it. He plays tennis every week and, more recently, golf. Dominique is a big fan of the new generation of amber-related molecules, a family that includes ambrocenide and norlimbanol dextro. “They are extremely powerful, long-lasting, and can be used pure or diluted, allowing all kinds of effects—from adding volume and strength to the entire composition to giving a clear and supermodern amber, dry wood or animal signature. I’ve been using these a lot in niche fragrances for both men and women”.
