Something weird happened: I smelled it in winter and thought it was summery, fresh, and alcohol-heavy, but in summer it’s something else entirely—perfect for cold or cool weather, nothing for heat. Regarding the notes, even though it’s said to revolve around vetiver, that note is secondary; what stands out is the amber, followed by tobacco and other dense, unfresh elements. I didn’t notice the vetiver; it was overshadowed by the amber and the darkness. With so many notes, I’ll summarize it like this: it smells like Lutens, especially during development. If you know Arabia de S.L., you might confuse them, as they also feature nuts and dates. In terms of trail and longevity, at today’s 41°C, it was moderate-to-low for a few hours and then nearly imperceptible for another three or four. Maybe the heat affects it; I’ll test it in fall to confirm; it surely lasts longer in the cold. It’s strange that it has so many note votes but zero reviews before mine.
Something weird happened: in winter, straight from the bottle, it smelled fresh and alcohol-heavy, almost summery. But in the middle of summer at 41 degrees, it’s a whole different beast; it smells cold, not warm at all. The vetiver, supposedly the star, I can’t detect; amber and tobacco dominate with those dense, dark notes typical of Lutens. Someone who knows Arabia de S.L. would probably confuse them; it definitely has those dates and nutty vibes. The trail was weak, lasting barely a few hours, likely due to the heat; I’ll test it again in fall to see if it improves. It’s strange that it has so many note votes but zero reviews before mine.
Smells like classic barbershop talcum powder: clean, soapy, with a soft vanilla base. It has a sweet resinous touch, but keeps that familiar powdery vibe. Sounds masculine, but not exclusive. Reminds me of Habit Rouge, Vetiver by Santa Maria Novella, or Tabac Original; if I had to compare, it’s more similar to L’Eau. As it dries, it feels creamy, like dusty tobacco blended with sandalwood soap. Although it’s named ‘Vetiver,’ that note is barely noticeable. Honestly, it could have been called SMN Talc and would have made more sense. Rating: 2/5 – Well-made, but not for me.

It’s masculine, but not just for men. Reminds me of Habit Rouge, Vetiver by Santa Maria Novella, or Tabac Original; if I had to pick one, it’s closer to L’Eau.
