Bought it blind and still impressed because it wasn’t what I expected. It reminded me of those old, expensive, sophisticated wooden doctor’s offices. If I were a doctor, I’d wear it and feel like the most elegant person in the world, haha. It’s a serious, elegant scent that smells pricey. I wouldn’t recommend it for young people; it feels more old-school and distinguished. I liked it quite a bit and would wear it whenever I want to feel that elegant, boss-vibe thing (just be careful, the scent is quite strong!!)
This is a full-bodied aroma that blends perfectly with the skin. Since it’s alcohol-free, it’s ideal for those who can’t tolerate alcohol; just make sure to apply it evenly to avoid leaving an oily patch, as it’s very hydrating. It evokes luxury and class, no surprise since Hermetica belongs to Memo Paris, so we’re talking quality. It clings to my skin for hours, though I don’t get a trail myself, even though others can smell it within a meter. The bottle is stunningly beautiful with a heavy gold cap. Plus, it’s refillable, and the brand plants a tree for every sale. I love having a piece that’s clean, sustainable, and committed. Skip this if you’re a fan of scents like Angel, Opium, or Lempicka that have infinite sillage, because Verticaloud will disappoint in that regard. I consider it unisex and perfect for cold weather.
Wow, I fell in love with this perfume because it has such a great balance between the notes. It reminded me a lot of Bond No. 9 New York Oud. I bought it blind and absolutely loved it. The projection isn’t the highest, but it’s incredibly intimate—literally true to its brand name: anyone in your immediate, close circle will catch the rich scent. It’s totally unisex, leaning neither more nor less toward one gender. Congratulations to Philippe Paparella on this fragrance.
Even at Mercadona, you can find absolute oud now. Men with oud, women with oud, expensive or cheap. There’s definitely saturation. Well, if you haven’t gotten sick of oud yet, here’s a soft unisex option. It dries down nicely, but it’s very noticeable on the skin. Honestly, for the price, it’s not worth it; it’s nothing special. Maybe in 2018 the notes were novel, but nowadays…
