Versilia Aurum by Profumi del Forte is an oriental floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2011, the nose behind this composition is Arturetto Landi. The top notes are strawberry, plum, and orange; the heart features heliotrope, ylang-ylang, neroli, orchid, iris, rose, jasmine, and lily of the valley (muguet); and the base notes consist of vanilla, tonka bean, balsam of Peru, balsam of Tolu, sandalwood, musk, and ambergris.

I bought a decant hoping for a good strawberry note, and spoiler alert, it wasn’t there. The opening is very fruity, with a synthetic strawberry that doesn’t work for me. As it dries down, it improves; the artificial edge calms and reveals a sweet, almost caramelized vanilla, but it still isn’t what I expected from a niche fragrance. Despite the notes, I don’t see much complexity. I’ll wear it casually or mix it, but it’s nothing special. Moderate trail and lasts about 6 hours. Scent 6.5/10, longevity 6/10, projection 6/10, value 4/10, versatility 7/10, packaging 7/10. Would I buy again? No.
Super cool scent for vanilla lovers; the fruity touch comes from plum (not a fan of strawberry), with a dense balsamic base of ambergris, creamy florals, and woods. Lasts all day, with a strong trail at first that mellows out. Note: it’s super sweet, almost cloying. Not for everyone, better to test before buying. For me, it’s been a top-tier experience and I’d repurchase. Perfect for spring and cold months. Totally recommended if you like sweet/fruity/vanilla scents. Smells like nothing else.
