  The resinous amber smells like an incredible bronzer; I’ve never smelled anything like it. It’s addictive and super sweet—I wouldn’t wear it myself, but I have a decant and it’s enough for me to just smell. It must last forever; someday I’ll wear it, but finding the right moment will be hard. I love it, but it’s loaded with all the sweet and dense stuff in perfumery, very well blended.

  It doesn’t go unnoticed; the sandalwood stands out with a balsamic aura that smells like cough syrup. It evolves with vanilla and subtle spices. Not innovative and a bit cloying for me, but it denotes class, maturity, and elegance. I see it as unisex, ideal for cold climates.

  You spray Velvet Amber Sun and wonder why it’s not in the regular range instead of luxury. Paying 180 euros for 50ml feels wrong. The notes wrap and seduce you: fresh bergamot, sweet vanilla, floral ylang-ylang, woody amber, and resinous incense. As it warms up, it reveals tonka and amber with spices and smoke—balanced and comfortable. Sometimes reminds me of Lutens’ Ambre Sultan, sweeter and less rigid. Sweet but not cloying; it has two souls: creamy warmth and comfort that hugs you like a tailored suit. It’s a sensual red wine, perfect for cozy evenings. At first, it dominates, then adapts without being intrusive. A dream that proves D&G could do more if they break away from the mainstream. Great for stripes, deep and seductive. Too bad it doesn’t last long on my skin. Try it if you like amber and it works for you, worth saving up for.

  Smells like sweet aged liquor with rich smoky notes. Not overpowering or loud, but leaves a noticeable trail when you move.
