Descripción

Swiss Arabian's Tobacco 01 is a spicy oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2024, this creation stands out in the current olfactive landscape as a fresh proposal. The nose behind this composition is Angéline Leporini. The top notes unfold with plum, apple, licorice, cumin, and pink pepper; the heart reveals opoponax, amber, patchouli, and ylang-ylang; while the base notes anchor the essence with tobacco, honey, vanilla, sandalwood, musk, and cashmere wood.

I think this perfume isn’t talked about enough. Tobacco 01 is the only Extrait de Parfum in the Heritage collection. Yes, compared to other Arabic fragrances, the price might be a bit higher, but I think it’s totally worth it. In fact, I’d pay much more. As for performance: incredible. Longevity, projection, and sillage are vast. I don’t recommend applying it on clothes under any circumstance (maybe only on very light clothes you plan to wash). Projection and sillage are equally potent. Maybe they won’t say anything to you, but I guarantee they’ll smell it. As for the scent: mainly sweet and fruity, but not cloying or gourmand, even with the honey present. Both plum and licorice are present from the very first second. Later, I detect the amber and those heavier notes like tobacco. It’s not really a notable tobacco, as one might expect from the name. Still, it smells alongside other notes that make it… rough? I know that doesn’t make much sense, but I feel like it’s a sweet and smooth tobacco, yet simultaneously rough and noticeable. I don’t know, haha. Definitely a compliment getter and quite versatile within dense, night-time fragrances.

I’ll come back with updates, but for first impressions, I can warn you: IT IS TOO sweet, just as described here.

  • I think it’s a perfect fusion of tobacco, honey, and plum, gradually adding the other aromas. The opening is quite strong and very long-lasting. Sincèrement, the perfume that smells most like it is Guerlain’s Honey Tobacco; Oliedo is much darker and stronger. I think Tobacco 01 is more wearable than the other and way better value for money.

  • It left me contemplative; the scent is rich, leaning sweet (honey), while the tobacco feels greener and herbal. Spices are always present in the evolution, becoming creamier with leather and floral notes. I actually like it and can perceive almost all the notes, but the detail is that I can’t quite decipher it… It’s unisex, yet it doesn’t feel like my type. I got it cheap at $27. I use it in semi-temperate climates; it leans more masculine, lasts well. I recommend trying it before buying. I feel the notes aren’t as diffused; they hit all at once, somewhat sharp, without a distinct evolution. Though it’s good quality, I’ll keep using it, and if it bores me, I’ll sell or gift it.
