At first, I loved it: the bitter orange combined with the smoky palo santo note is incredible. But as the hours pass, it becomes generic, likely due to that metallic note in the dry down.
What a shame, it smells amazing but the longevity is a disaster. With just six sprays, it fades on my skin in under two hours. It lasts better on clothes, but on skin it lacks both projection and intensity.
This ‘amber wood’ smells spectacular, like coffee with smoky touches of Palo Santo. Be careful smelling it too fast and thinking it has a generic dry-down, because that citrus and metallic point (which reminds me of newspaper) rounds out a wonderful sweet woody fragrance. In my opinion, it’s clearly autumnal, though it also works on spring nights or winter days. Medium projection and trail within your bubble. Sweet wood (not a wood that later gets sweeteners added) goes straight into my collection.

For me, it’s 90% Botanicae Onda, but a bit more woody and less sweet. In the style of Reflection, Le Male… Very good.

It lasts a breath. You spray it, smell it, put the bottle down, smell again, and it’s gone. I think from the bedroom to the front door, you don’t have time to get there; you lose it on the way.
I bought it as a gift for myself for the anniversary due to the good reviews. I liked the opening and was surprised by the longevity (about 8 hours on my skin). But don’t abuse the sprays (max 5); at 18-20 degrees, it smells strong at close range. In my experience, if you wear it in the morning, you smell citrusy for the first hour, then shift to metallic with floral (orange blossom) during midday, and in the afternoon, you notice that creamy, woody amber and palo santo that sweetens it. There are many options; this THIS IS REALLY HIM doesn’t disgust me, and I need to try it more to make it my daily, although Zadig & Voltaire Undressed drove me crazy, lasts less, and is less versatile. This works day and night, and I think I’ll use it more seasons (below 23ºC). EDIT: 8 sprays, 9 hours on skin. I’m noticing that sweet scent more as it dries, like a lemon dessert. On my skin, it lasts, today with temperatures below 14ºC.

If you move around, it helps a bit, but at half a meter, no one smells you. It’s like freshly ironed clothes: at first it gives off a scent, then it smells clean, all very quickly. Sometimes you don’t smell it yourself, but if someone gets close, they say you smell good. Is it made so your brain says ‘no’ while the rest agrees? It lasts 6 hours on skin and 7 hours on clothes. It’s ‘the office cologne’: not overpowering, smells good, and by the time you get home, it’s gone. Why the love? For that clean, proper guy scent. Why the hate? The price; it deserves more. If it projected normally its entire life, it would be a hit. Extra: works best between 15 and 22 degrees, wear it under a jacket.
