Descripción

Girls Can Do Anything by Zadig & Voltaire is an oriental fougère fragrance for women. Launched in 2018, this olfactory composition was created by perfumer Quentin Bisch. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds notes of pear, tangerine orange, bergamot, and orange blossom. The heart is sustained by tonka bean and neroli, while the base reveals a sequence of vanilla, fern, musk, clove, ambroxan, and patchouli.

  • I don’t know how many of these there are this year. Another one of the bunch, clone over clone… ambroxan, tonka bean, vanilla. I see some resemblance, but it’s lighter, similar to Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. I’d be unable to distinguish it from many others, and it’s sad because I own Zadig & Voltaire and I can spot that one in a million. Simpleton, I see it going down in history, hand in hand with Joy by Dior, on the path to oblivion… or at least, that’s what it deserves.

  • Very sweet at first, but once it settles, it’s quite soft and tolerable. Original and novel, but nothing like the original for women by Zadig & Voltaire.

  • I tried it from a sample they gave me, and it seems to have a nauseating sweetness. The pear is extremely strong, the dominant note. After many hours, I could tolerate it a bit more, but it certainly doesn’t seem anything special.

Agree that it’s similar to Good Girl just softer. It seems sweeter to me than Joy but also pretty—a scent that reminds you of nice things. I like it it’s easy to wear and to highlight at least for me it lasted a huge number of hours. The notes don’t bother like many sweet ones lately which either go unnoticed or nauseate you to the point of hatred. It’s a time of extremes in everything.

  • For me it’s a simple but pleasant fragrance ideal for everyday wear without big pretensions. It has a very fruity opening that settles into a linear pear and neroli scent with a vanilla base. It doesn’t remind me too much of Good Girl; it stays fresher softer and more casual without its depth or presence. It has a soft non-invasive sillage and lasts 4 to 5 hours on my skin. Of the perfumes from this brand I’ve tried it’s definitely the least interesting. The packaging suggests a younger audience; although I don’t believe in putting age limits on perfumes it’s a carefree cheerful and light scent that might appeal to that demographic. Scent 6.5/10 Longevity 4.5/10 Sillage 6/10 Value for Money 5/10 Versatility 7/10 Packaging 6.5/10. Would I buy it again? I didn’t.

I agree it’s similar to Good Girl, just softer. It smells sweeter to me than Joy, though it’s nice (just a personal impression, a scent that brings back pleasant memories). I like it, it’s easy to wear, and for me, it lasted forever. The notes are noticeable without being overwhelming, unlike many sweet fragrances lately that either don’t develop or turn people off. Times are extreme in everything.

  • Perfumiris

Didn’t like it. I had a sample and it reminded me of a common vintage perfume like CH (the mole box) but lighter. The scent isn’t new or original at all. I wouldn’t buy it.

  • Perfumiris

Not a fan at all. The sample reminded me of some classic vintage CH, but lighter. The scent isn’t original or new in any way, so I wouldn’t buy it.

This brand has better options like This Is Love with incredible depth and longevity or This Is Her which is very original. This perfume however is neither here nor there: it’s generic lacks personality and sillage and lasts about 4 hours very close to the skin. With no evolution it fades away just as quickly as it appeared. I bought it on impulse; the opening is pleasant and works for casual summer wear but it disappears once you use it up. I wouldn’t buy it again; it’s not worth the price—there are fragrances for €10 with better quality. I was totally disappointed though it was my own fault. If you get the chance test perfumes for a couple of days and don’t judge solely by the opening; they should offer more than that.

This brand has better perfumes like This Is Love, which has depth and spectacular longevity with a great trail, or This Is Her, which is very original. This fragrance is neither here nor there; it’s average, lacks personality, has little presence, zero trail, and lasts about 4 hours right on the skin. Plus, it doesn’t evolve; it’s very linear and fades away just as quickly as it appeared. I bought it on impulse because I liked the opening, and it’s good for casual summer situations, but I used it up and it’s gone. I wouldn’t buy it again; it’s not worth the price; there are 10€ fragrances with better quality. It totally disappointed me, but it was my fault. If you get the chance, test perfumes for a couple of days and don’t judge solely by the opening; they should offer more than just a great start.

  • Ojos Claros

Feminine, modern, and intense. A delight. Bergamot, pear, tonka, gardenia, and clove. I own it, recommend it, and would buy it again. Edited 03/23/2025: Too bad they stopped making it.
