Have you worn This is Him! Vibes of Freedom?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. Smells great, with lots of cedar and incense. The mandarin adds a citrusy touch to the lavender, but that means it doesn’t last as long. On skin, it fades after two hours and then clings to the skin. In cold weather, it dies out quickly; maybe it lasts longer in summer. For €55, I wouldn’t buy it again if I’m looking for more projection, but it smells good, so give it a try.

  2. Mr. Baskerville

I disagree with the previous review. I tested it without expecting anything and liked it. It’s not a masterpiece of the century, but if you’re looking for good taste, price, and versatility for everyday wear without being too party-focused, it’s an excellent buy. It suits any age. Lorson was right: it starts with lavender and mandarin, trading acidity for a creamy freshness from cardamom without being greasy. It has wood notes, elegant yet casual. In cold weather, it loses a bit, but if dosed well, it lasts. I’m going to buy it; it wins in unexpected areas and offers a lot for its price.

It’s not a masterpiece, but if you’re looking for good taste, a reasonable price, and versatility for everyday wear without being too party-ready, it’s an excellent buy. It suits any age. Lorson nailed it: it starts with lavender and mandarin, trading the acidity for a creamy freshness from cardamomo without being greasy. It has wood notes, elegant yet casual. 4. Chochomona

Synthetic and soulless. The perfumer must be so busy with the Opium flankers that she doesn’t know what she’s mixing anymore. Wasted money and time, though I’m sure it sold well because it smells like a commercial trend. A horror, it literally gave me goosebumps.

Wasted money and time, though I’m sure it sold well because it smells like commercial trends from the last few years. A horror, gives me goosebumps. And the bristled cat.

I bought it for myself but ended up giving it to my partner. While I like the scent, I see it more as hers. It opens rich and fresh, then smells like a blend of incense, cardamom, and patchouli, or something sweet like anise, or perhaps an atypical lavender. It’s a good aroma, very different from the regular This Is Him, much brighter. It reminds me more of the flankers in the women’s line. Quite good projection; it throws out bursts for the first two hours and then becomes more discreet, lasting 6-7 hours. I see it as unisex, though it’s a bit sweet for me to wear, but I love how it makes her look. Versatile, even in the cold. Worth trying before buying, but if it suits you, the performance is very good.

  7. Nemowave

This scent brought back good memories for me, and I didn’t know why. Then it hit me: it’s the Kenzo Jungle fragrance. I compared the notes and see they share citrus, cardamom, cedar, etc. It’s a fresher version of Kenzo’s creation. I just started wearing it, and so far it performs very well. It smells sparkly, fresh, yet slightly woody and smoky. I’ve read lukewarm reviews, but it has absolutely fallen in love with me.

It smells good and you can definitely detect the incense, but it doesn’t stand out at all.

Tested this morning, and for my novice nose, it’s just like Monsieur Le Cygne but softer.

  11. Fragancio Ortega

Even though I know little about the brand, this fragrance surprised me in a good way. I received a decant and found a citrusy aromatic with a nice trail that lasts quite a while and is affordable. Recommended for anyone looking for a daily spring scent (that isn’t CK One) and has a modest budget.

I’m not an expert on this brand, but this fragrance caught me off guard in the best way possible. I got a decant and, with no expectations, I was greeted by a citrus-aromatic scent that leaves a great trail, lasts quite a while, and is priced without hurting your wallet. Perfect for anyone looking for a daily spring scent (that isn’t CK One) on a tight budget.

  13. I just bought and tried it, and I have to admit, I absolutely loved it. Based on the notes, I knew I’d like it, but it truly impressed me. It starts citrusy and spicy, but lavender dominates throughout all stages. Over time, cardamom and incense emerge, making it green, warm, and refreshing all at once. After a few minutes, it reminds me of the opening of Givenchy Gentleman EDT Intense, likely due to those green and cardamom touches. However, they don’t match at the end because the other one ends up cloying to me, while this one doesn’t. It even seems to have a clean iris. I give it 10/10: it performs great on my skin, projects well, leaves a nice trail, and smells amazing. The tangerine note isn’t synthetic. You could say it’s an evolution of Gentleman EDT Intense; they share the same perfumer, Nathalie Lorson. The scent is similar, but this one is less sweet and more sparkling.

Then comes the cardamom and incense, turning it green, warm, and refreshing. It reminds me of the opening of Givenchy Gentleman Intense due to the green and cardamom touches, but they don’t match at the end; that one is cloying, while this isn’t—it seems to have a clean iris. I give it 10/10, it performs very well, projects nicely, and smells pleasant. The mandarin isn’t synthetic. It feels like an evolution of Gentleman EDT Intense, same perfumer, but less sweet and more sparkling.
