I wore this in 10th grade back in ’97, and I remember it vividly because it drove my crush at the time (my classmate) crazy; he used to chase me just to smell it, and we’d always get teased about it. If they bring it back, I’d happily wear it again, especially in summer. In fact, I’m currently looking for something similar and haven’t been able to find it.
@Del86, try L’eau d’Issey; among the ones available, it’s probably the closest. As La DameDeNoir mentioned, Thaïs was basically a budget version of that fragrance. My sister used it a lot, and recently I tried L’eau d’Issey and was surprised by how similar it was. Without Thaïs to compare, it sounded just like my memory. If it doesn’t work for you, you can still find second-hand bottles on Wallapop.
It’s such a shame it’s discontinued; those aquatic, ozone-like, and soft notes made me feel fantastic. I didn’t mind that it didn’t last long because it was so special. I agree with the previous comments: I wish it weren’t out of production. Gavajessi said he saw it years ago, but I haven’t spotted it in a long time. If anyone knows if it’s still available or can recommend something that reminds you of it, that would be great. EDIT: @Ícara, thanks! It’s true that L’Eau d’Issey has a lot in common, but I was so eager to smell Thaïs again that I tracked down a private seller and bought it. What joy to have it back! It’s my best aquatic, even though objectively there are better ones… here I let my heart take over 💙

Thaïs is an absolute beast of a cologne; I wore it in the 90s, and everyone kept asking what I was wearing. It’s a pity that here in Chile you can’t find it anymore, but I see Gavajessi says it’s easy to buy in Spain. Is it still available? And is Estivalia the same thing? I don’t know the other versions, but if they’re by Puig, they’re surely good. Hopefully, someone can clarify this for me.
