I love powdery perfumes, and this is my favorite. It smells of very fine talcum powder, wrapped in roses, musk, and something sweet, like sugar. It has great projection and longevity.
Some perfumes take you on a journey to the past, to an exact moment, to a smile. Teint de Neige holds that spark; it doesn’t just smell divine, it envelops you in a cloud of glamour from another time. It’s not easy to like due to its incredibly powdery texture, but for those who dream of talcum powder, it’s the one that wraps every atom in that charm. Broadly speaking, it gives the sensation of clean, silky baby skin. Breaking down its accords: sweet roses turned to powder, with brushstrokes of violet, ylang-ylang, and heliotrope, held together by tonka bean and a clean musk. At first, it recreates the essence of a baby, but as it settles, it becomes very clean, a fine and sumptuous powder that conveys cleanliness. It’s refined, elegant, and makes the wearer stand out. A unisex fragrance that, from my perspective, plays better in the women’s league. Impressive longevity, easily over 12 hours, with a trail that mutates from strong to moderate. For lovers of powdery scents, it’s a must-have, beautiful in all its facets.
A fragrance I save for special occasions, just after a night shower. It brings back childhood talcum powder memories, and that’s it—you’re no longer a kid pretending to be Louis XVI before the guillotine. Teint De Neige is a delicate rose, born dusted with motes of vanilla. A vanilla that isn’t dense but present, making the petal seem like a white, soft complexion. I prefer this EDP to the EDT, which on my dry skin turns bitter in seconds. The EDP is deeper and more corporeal, without evolving too much. Be careful with the sprays; it can get heavy. If you want the iris version, try Khol Barehim by Humber Lucas. For a non-rose lover like me, these gems by Don Lorenzo and Declaration d’un soir by Cartier are a must-have. Sometimes guys with chest hair need to let their feminine side free. I said it.
It reminds me immediately of LOVE, but in the end, it smells much cleaner, like soap, without being overly powdery. The longevity is brutal and I’m totally obsessed.
