A very fresh take on vetiver, green and earthy with citrus that doesn’t overpower. It’s not dry or smoky, but competes with Oriza Legrand’s Vetiver Royal Bourbon for being ‘covered in herbs’. Here, celery, sage, and galbanum do the work of thyme and immortelle. To that herbal base, they add spices like cumin and nutmeg, giving it a sour and slightly bitter tint. The notes list accurately reflects my perception: vetiver takes the lead, almost on par with celery, followed by cumin (no body odor, how nice!), nutmeg, and sage. Performance is below average, lasting 4/5 hours with no projection. A very interesting take. Rating: 7 (Vintage Collection 2014 version).
