Suspiro by Don Algodon is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 1991, the nose behind this composition is Ramon Monegal. The top notes unfold violet, pineapple, aldehydes, orange, red apple, and lily of the valley; the heart reveals mimosa, ylang-ylang, and jasmine; while the base notes close the olfactory pyramid with incense, white honey, sandalwood, benzoin, amber, vanilla, French labdanum, and Virginia cedar.

What a shame it’s no longer available. It lasted forever. These brands have this habit of removing their best fragrances. Eventually, they’ll unify everything into one… THE SUPERFRUITCHILI, and we’ll all smell the same.
It was my signature scent. During my nightlife years, nothing else compared to it, and most of my partners were hooked on the smell. Many friends bought it, though it didn’t smell the same on everyone. For me, it’s one of the few fragrances that lasts all day. What a pity they discontinued it and replaced it with something I don’t like. I used it until I couldn’t find any more. Now I see it on eBay at absurd prices, and after all this time, I’m not sure if they still smell the same. I wonder if sealed perfumes lose their essence. Maybe they should bring it back if there’s enough demand.

They stopped making it because it was a clone of Cacharel’s LouLou. If you want to get your favorite cologne back, you know where to look.
I tried it and it wasn’t a copy of LouLou; it had its own character. Everyone who smelled it loved it. It was intense, woody, and oriental with an incredible scent. What a shame they pulled it from the market like so many others.
