Sunlit Vanilla by Summer Fridays Is Vanilla With the Lights On

Summer Fridays steps into 2026 with Sunlit Vanilla, a new unisex release that puts the Oriental vanilla family front and center. No gimmicks, no mystery: the name tells you exactly what you're getting.

The pyramid is refreshingly simple. Bergamot opens the show, caramel and coconut take over at the heart, and vanilla, tonka bean, musk and amber close things out on a warm, cozy note.

That bergamot opening deserves credit. Plenty of vanilla fragrances go straight for the sugar, but here a bright citrus flash keeps the first minutes airy before the sweetness settles in.

The heart is where the personality lives. Caramel brings a melty, almost toasted richness while coconut smooths everything out with creamy softness — a pairing that explains the sweet, vanillic and caramelized accords dominating early impressions.

In the base, tonka bean doubles down on the vanilla, musk rounds off the edges, and amber leaves a warm, faintly powdery trail. This is comfort-food perfumery, built for soft sweaters and slow evenings.

Early numbers suggest the crowd approves: Sunlit Vanilla sits at 3.87 out of 5 after 359 votes — a respectable score for a release this fresh. Written reviews are still scarce, so expect the consensus to evolve.

As for wearability, think cooler days, casual settings and anyone who wants to smell like dessert without apology. If heavy gourmands usually overwhelm you, the citrus lift may make this one easier to live with.

Marketed to both men and women, this is an easy pick for gourmand devotees: vanilla lovers, coconut fans and anyone chasing warm, edible coziness. If you want your fragrance to challenge you, look elsewhere.

Sunlit Vanilla doesn't overreach, and that's the point. It delivers sunny bergamot, a caramel-coconut heart and a plush base of vanilla, tonka, musk and amber — simple, likable and dependable. For sweet-toothed fragrance wearers, it's an easy yes to try.

I tried it the other day and I don’t know why I loved it. It resembles Bianco latte but instead of almond it has coconut. It’s a lighter variant, for summer. Bianco latte didn’t excite me but Sunlit I do like. It’s not the most complex in the world, nor sophisticated, nor gourmand, but it’s a very nice vanilla coconut, for everyday when you want to smell good without worrying too much. I’m on the hunt for a big bottle, and yet lately I only buy travel sizes because a scent bores me quickly. Edited: bought.

I tried this new launch because from the notes and the reviews I had seen, it could appeal to me. I found a very artificial and sweet vanilla. As if it were extremely sweetened, but instead of sugar or caramel it was a sweetener. That’s the difference with Bianco Latte, which feels more natural to me. It’s a shame, because the bottle looks gorgeous.
