I’ve used several bottles of the Sticky Dates gel because it’s the most edible-smelling thing I’ve ever encountered. If this body spray tops it, it’s going to be… Basically, it smells like realistic dates with vanilla syrup and caramel.

  • It opens with a half-burnt caramel vibe, like Pink Sugar, then softens into a very sweet vanilla caramel. Later, I catch a hint of coconut—I’m not sure if it’s real or just a memory. A total delight. I’ll keep testing it. I left it and gifted it away; honestly, I can’t tolerate it. I don’t know, I changed, my nose changed. It feels too piercing to me.

  • It starts with a slightly burnt caramel, in the same vein as Pink Sugar, then softens into a very sweet vanilla caramel. After a few hours, I detect a hint of coconut, though I’m not sure if it’s coconut or just a fruit reminiscence. A total delight. I’ll keep expanding on this as I use it more. I stopped using it and gave it away; I just can’t tolerate it. I don’t know, I changed, my nose changed. It feels too sharp to me.

  • Delicious. I grabbed two bottles because I knew it was limited and I’m obsessed with the shower gel. It’s one of Lush’s sweetest scents, along with LTGR; both have lots of caramel, but this one is more burnt, dark, and sticky. The opening is identical to the gel, but the drydown surprised me (I only notice this in the spray). It’s a subtle, super-rich caramel. I’m sure I won’t smell anything like it again. Too bad it’s limited, but I recommend grabbing it when it drops. For me, it’s Lush’s best scent.

  • Finally got my hands on it! It’s just as good as the shower gel. Smells like natural dates with a hot, toasted caramel on top—brutal.

  • I had huge expectations because people said it was an incredible scent, but it just doesn’t work for me. It is true that it smells like sticky dates, but it has a burnt odor that is too sharp for my taste. I’ll wait a bit to see if it develops more consistency and sweetness.

  • I was hoping it would be amazing, but it just doesn’t work for me. It definitely smells like sticky dates, but that burnt note is way too sharp. We’ll see if it mellows out and gains sweetness over time.

  • I’m totally in love; the scent reminds me so much of those small Colombian candies, it feels completely edible.

  • The atomizer is powerful; it’s impossible to use a small amount. The opening is sweet, with noticeable caramel, a touch of salt, and the buttery quality of sandalwood—aromatic and woody. The benzoin adds a resinous note. It’s an excellent gourmand perfume.

  • The atomizer is powerful; it’s impossible to apply a small amount. The dry-down is sweet with caramel, a salty touch, and the unctuousness of sandalwood, aromatic and woody. The benzoin adds resinous notes. It’s an excellent gourmand perfume.

After searching for it when it was always out of stock, I finally got it. It doesn’t disappoint: it’s dates with tons of caramel. The opening is strong, but then it softens and becomes incredible, lasting more than 8 hours. Great option if you like heavy sweet gourmands.

I loved the cream and gel so much that I bought the perfume without smelling it. I’m very disappointed… It smells like something burnt, but not in a good way. Until an hour passes, that sharp smell of burnt food keeps my nose off. I thought it was me, but my mom walked in scared thinking something was burning. It’s not pleasant. I’m returning it; I don’t know how to get rid of that smoke smell. It’s a shame because the gel and cream are delicious.

Since I loved the body cream and gel with the same name so much, I bought the perfume without even smelling it. I couldn’t be more disappointed… It smells extremely like something burnt, but not in a good way. Until an hour passes on the skin, that sharp burnt-food smell doesn’t go away, leaving a very unpleasant sensation in my nose. At first, I thought maybe it was just me, but the same day I tried it, my mom came into my room scared, thinking something was literally burning. It’s not a pleasant aroma; I think I’m going to return it because I don’t know how to use it to tone down that smoky smell. It’s a shame, because both the shower gel and the cream are a treat.

  • Lush has many caramel-scented sweets, but each is distinct. Sticky Dates is a caramel with subtle vanilla and lots of toasted, slightly bitter notes, like coffee. It reminds me of a caramel macchiato with industrial flavorings or dark milk hard candies (calugas in Chile) that first feel burnt. It doesn’t smell like natural dates, but it recalls them through the color. It’s a warm winter scent. The ‘industrial flavoring’ part is good: they’re synthetics that stimulate the senses, just like processed foods we love for their intensity. Lush knows this and delivers it.

  • Lush has tons of candy and caramel products, and while Sticky Dates is gourmand, it has notes that set it apart. It’s a caramel with a subtle vanilla and a strong presence of something toasted and slightly bitter, like coffee. It reminds me of an industrial-flavored caramel macchiato or those dark milk soft candies that first feel burnt. It doesn’t smell like natural dates, but the color brings the memory back. It’s a rich, warm winter scent. The ‘industrial flavoring’ part is great: those synthetics that tickle the senses are enjoyable because we all love intense, addictive processed supermarket products, and Lush knows this and delivers it.

  • I don’t get the hype. A coworker was spraying it and everyone loved it. To me, it seems to have a spicy incense note that competes with the caramel. I try to enjoy it, but that burnt or overly spicy note bothers me and ruins the sweetness.

  • It smells like disgusting rum and cola. It smells terrible. But badly, very badly. Everything at Lush smells terrible, that’s the point. Pumpkin Spice, Sticky Dates, Super Milk… everything smells awful.

  • It bugs me that people badmouth the brand because of one use. You need to know the scent at least three times. If everything at Lush smelled bad, the brand wouldn’t exist. Responding to ‘Lobster’: good that there’s diversity. Yes, it’s very sweet, but I love it 🥰.

  • MIMIDEBLASIO

It’s my favorite Lush fragrance, along with Let The Good Times Roll. It’s exquisite, super sweet, and lasts forever. I pair it with Date Caramel by Paris, which I think is a very accurate dupe for this scent.

  • I had so many expectations with this; I’d heard nothing but wonders… and it’s HORRIBLE! Honestly, it’s the first perfume I’ve ever HATED. It’s DISGUSTING 😭 It starts with a strong sweet scent, which isn’t terrible… but once it hits the skin ☠️ WHAT A HORROR! It smells like burnt plastic, a burnt car tire, I don’t know… it’s awful. I was greatly disappointed because it was my first impression with Lush and it was terrible. I won’t buy blind again. If I ever visit a store, I’ll smell it there, but I absolutely do not recommend it. NOTE: 0/10

  • I was so eager to try it after all the wonderful reviews… and it’s a disaster! It’s the first perfume I truly hate. It’s disgusting 😭. It smells sweet at first, but on skin it’s horror ☠️. It smells like burnt plastic or a melted car tire. Huge disappointment with my first Lush purchase. I won’t buy blind again. If I go to a store, I’ll smell it, but I don’t recommend it at all. NOTE: 0/10.

  • I’m a total gourmand and sweet bomb addict, but Sticky Dates overwhelms me. I love cloying scents like Cheirosa 71 or Tobacco Vanille, but this gives me an instant headache. The weird part is my mom, who hates anything sweet, absolutely loved it. She compared it to Berlin toffee candies that leave you diabetic, haha. I never expected her approval. My advice: smell before you buy; don’t buy blind. It projects for miles and is very easy to like.
