I went through several bottles of this fragrance. It’s wood, I could even say there are leather notes. It’s that dry, resinous wood (not old, not freshly cut) that makes you think of firewood, mountains, fields. Paired with a leather jacket, it makes a clear statement about who is the man in the room. Nothing sweet, no bubble gum, zero flowers and fruity notes in this fragrance, I wouldn’t recommend it to kids or young guys, even people with very refined tastes might find it shocking. This is for the office man who wants to project what he likes to do outside of it, horseback riding or riding a cruiser motorcycle, hiking in the mountains, practicing martial arts, sharing a glass of whiskey with friends, smoking a good cigar. I wore it as my signature fragrance, for as long as I could get it. And never thinking about compliments or whether someone else would like it or not, but certainly friends asked me about it and female friends complimented me. In my particular case, it had very good longevity and excellent sillage, without ever becoming heavy. I haven’t found anything similar. Nothing that gives me that feeling, except the times I’ve worn Black Revel Rider (even though the notes are different). I think there should be more scents like this. (There are, but at prices prohibitive for us ordinary mortals haha). In the end, everything described is subjective, it’s up to each person to smell, try, and critique (in a healthy way). Cheers.

  2. I bought several bottles of this fragrance. It’s woody, even with leather notes. It’s that dry, resinous wood (neither old nor freshly cut) that makes you think of firewood, mountains, and open fields. Paired with a leather jacket, it clearly signals who the man of the room is. No sweets, no gum, zero flowers or fruits; I wouldn’t recommend it to kids or teens, and even people with refined tastes might find it shocking. This is for the office guy who wants to project what he does outside of work: horseback riding or cruising on a motorcycle, hiking in the mountains, practicing martial arts, sharing a whiskey with friends, or smoking a good cigar. I wore it as my signature scent every time I could get my hands on it. I never expected compliments or wondered if others would like it, but my friends asked and my girlfriends gave me compliments. For me, it had great longevity and an excellent sillage without being heavy. I haven’t found anything similar, except when I used Black Rebel Rider (even though the notes are different).
