I’ve only tried one of the three in the collection, and this was the one that attracted me most with its citrus and slightly spicy opening; people ask me often if I’m wearing perfume. The ginger feels super fresh, like a shot of ginger with orange. I loved it and will buy it again without hesitation; I’m hoping to try the others. The lavender here feels sweet, nothing synthetic, disinfectant-like, old, or earthy. The longevity is very good: it lasts all day on clothes and 8-10 hours on skin. It sits close to the skin with a clean musk and wood scent; I couldn’t ask for more in this style. I think it’s outstanding. The projection is a bomb for the first 3-4 hours; being citrusy and clean, it’s not invasive, though in enclosed spaces it can fill them without being a heavy fragrance. If you have to choose one of the three without smelling the others, this is a safe bet. Totally unisex.
It’s not my favorite perfume, but not for bad reasons. It has a very potent and particular scent; I recommend it 100% to those who enjoy present and strong aromas. Fresh, clean, and citrusy notes, very fresh.
If you’re looking for a scent with great reach that keeps that citrus and sweet touch, this is the one. Songs of Terra has a special structure where citrus and spices interact in a striking way. The opening is a bit intense with strong aromatics, but after 5 minutes, the specific scents become noticeable. It’s a great option for anyone wanting something lively and sharp, highly recommended.
It opens with a super fresh, realistic grapefruit scent, like it was just cut, paired with pepper and lavender that give it a mature, masculine touch. As the citrus fades, ginger, cedar, and green leaves rise up, giving it a clean, casual twist. In the dry down, the white musk and sandalwood make it incredibly pleasant. It’s the most versatile pick in the collection; I’d say it’s best for men 30 and up, suitable for any occasion: sophisticated and fresh.
Very good fragrance, you can really tell the citrus tones, and it lasts a long time.
It has a characteristically strong scent. It’s not my style, but I think it’s for a certain type of taste. I wouldn’t buy it for myself, but for someone looking for this profile, it’s worth it. It still smells good.
A different summer perfume with that ginger note characteristic of Castañeda evokes pure elegance for me. Very good performance, I was very happy with my purchase.
Songs of Terra smells like super realistic orange with petrichor. Exactly, like squeezing an orange after a storm when the earth is sweating. It has woody and spicy touches that make it more versatile. In my opinion, it’s unisex, leaning masculine. And the performance is quite good, 6/8 hours on skin without issues.
A different kind of summer with that ginger note that defines Castañez; it gives me pure elegance. The performance is very good, I’m super happy with the purchase.
It’s incredible, it’s a woody citrus scent that you can’t find anything similar to, it smells amazingly good. The opening is citrusy, sweet, and strong, and as it dries down it becomes woody but keeps that fresh citrus vibe. I feel it’s for any season, right now in the heat it smells great and lasts quite a while.
It’s amazing, it’s a woody citrus scent that doesn’t resemble anything else, it smells great. The opening is citrusy, sweet, and strong, and as it dries down it becomes woody but keeps that fresh citrus vibe. I feel it’s for any season; right now with the heat, it smells wonderful and lasts quite a while.
I see so many positive comments that make me doubt if they really tested it or if they’re just friends of the house. The perfume opens very citrusy, a bit above normal but not reaching floor cleaner territory. The opening is strong, but all that vigor dies out in 10 minutes. After that, there’s only a skin-scent of citrus and wood with a little musk. Nothing different. It also doesn’t last long. It’s a perfume that promises a lot with its opening but stays there. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 4. Performance is its main enemy.
I agree with Discordia… The previous ones seem to be from the house… The performance is poor and disappointing. It opens with strong citrus and orange, but after a few minutes it smells like nothing, despite 20 sprays.
I agree with Discordia… The previous reviews are surely from family & friends. It has quite poor and disappointing performance. It opens with a very strong citrus and orange, but after a few minutes it’s like I didn’t even wear anything, despite 20 sprays.
Hello dfragoso, I respect your opinion, but I feel responsible to clarify a few points for the sake of those seeking an objective perspective. I have over 300 perfumes in my collection and have been following this house closely. I’ve tested this fragrance in different conditions and seasons. I consider it the best from the brand, and what you describe doesn’t match the real experience of those who know perfumery. Claiming that positive reviews are from ‘family & friends’ is irresponsible and discredits many who value this creation: it’s well-made, has evolution, and decent performance for its fresh citrus profile. One thing is that it doesn’t work for you, and another is to discredit others. In perfumery, it’s not all black and white, but bad-faith criticism is noticeable—and it even smells.
I’ve bought 3 blind buys from this brand and the same thing happens with all of them: the opening is horrible, but after a few minutes it evolves into something super delicious. This one opens with very strong citrus, and as it dries down, it becomes slightly sweet and much less acidic, with lavender dominating and a hint of tobacco. It leaves a clean, soapy, and fresh sensation.
Carlos Pérez, Top, it seems you’re doing exactly what I’m accused of: dismissing my opinion. While I agree that life isn’t black and white, the fact that almost all reviews are positive only confirms my point about Family & Friends. Watch out, just because you own many perfumes doesn’t make you an expert, especially with such a biased mindset. Update: the scent isn’t bad, it’s a decent citrus, but it lasts barely 5 hours with weak projection and sillage. These aren’t the performance claims others make, this after three months of use.
It was the first one from the family I bought; I was drawn to the advertising and the planet concept. It’s a fantastic fragrance, the packaging is exemplary, and the details make it stand out. The notes are composed very differently from the rest. The quality-to-price ratio is one of the best I’ve ever encountered. I highly recommend it.
This was the first one from the family line I picked up; the planet concept caught my eye and I went for it. It’s an absolutely brutal fragrance, the packaging is next level, and the details make it unique. The notes are composed to be totally different from the rest. The quality-to-price ratio is one of the best I’ve seen. Highly recommended without a doubt.
Ugh, I won’t ramble, but this is a top-tier cologne with real perfume-level potency. The moment you spray it, the citrus and that earthy vetiver vibe (even if they don’t list it) hit you straight away. Buy blind, it never fails 👌🏽
