Eau 3 from the Sisley Eau de Sisley collection is my favorite of the three. It’s a fresh, intense chypre with a lot of personality. I love that ginger and osmanthus scent, totally unique. The natural essence of osmanthus is hard to extract, made artisanally in China and comes in Chinese porcelain; it smells intense with a slight peach note. The price is extremely high, so a perfume with natural osmanthus can never be cheap. It’s floral-fruity, but the ginger and vetiver give it a unisex character. The sillage and projection are incredible for the first three hours. It doesn’t resemble anything on the market; it smells different and unmistakable. For osmanthus lovers: an oriental flower with fruity nuances. Highly recommended.

Short-lived: opens with well-groomed, spicy ginger that blends with lemon, grapefruit, and lots of bergamot, with a green-woody touch that could be patchouli. Immediately reminds me of Nuit de Cellophane by Serge Lutens, but here the osmanthus smells great. It’s very aromatic, citrusy, herbal, and floral (nothing sweet), and very soon at the end, it leaves dry woods and benzoin resin. After 15 minutes, it leaves a ‘skin’ scent that, although noticeable, is weak between two and three hours. An excellent fragrance, but I’d wish for better performance.

Short longevity: opens with well-seasoned, spicy ginger that blends with lemon, grapefruit, and lots of bergamot, plus a green-woody note that could be patchouli. Immediately reminds me of S. Lutens’ Nuit de Cellophane, but here the osmanthus smells fantastic. It’s very aromatic, citrusy, herbal, and floral (not sweet), and very soon after, it leaves behind dry woods and benzoin resin. After 15 minutes, there’s a ‘skin’ scent that, while noticeable, fades between two and three hours. An excellent fragrance, but I wish it had better performance.

The moment you spray it, you’re transported to another world; it has the spark to take you away… it’s magnificently crafted with unmatched purity. But this great performance vanishes in less than half an hour and is unacceptable; nothing’s left after an hour. They should improve the longevity because all three are exceptional.

It’s a wonderful citrus fragrance with that ‘something extra’ from osmanthus and ginger, but it’s a shame it doesn’t last longer; I have to reapply every two or three hours, so it’s a must-have for summer.

One of the best in my small collection. Reminds me of Light Blue, but this one is pure sophistication.
