Have you worn Sisley Eau de 1?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. A beautiful opening that revives Eau du Soir but hyper-fresh, although that lasts only a few seconds. The grapefruit with that watery note refreshes you amazingly for several minutes. I sense a fleeting touch of white flowers like Jour de Hermès, and the Virginia juniper is quite strong, almost like the heart. Maybe that initial acidity that lasts briefly is due to how it evaporates at the start; then the grapefruit and tangerine give a nice sweetness. At 5 minutes, the tea and spices shine, and the juniper remains with a distant jasmine. At 15 minutes, the intensity drops and it becomes discreet, like the others in the collection. Here come the white musk and patchouli, maintaining that fresh, green, and clean feeling. Like Eau 3, it’s top quality and very aromatic for daily wear. So much grapefruit, so much Virginia juniper, a phenomenal tea with spices… in short: citrus, woody, green, and spicy. Give it a try.

  2. A beautiful take that revives Eau du Soir but hyper-fresh, though that initial burst lasts only seconds. The grapefruit with its watery note refreshes you great for a few minutes. I catch a fleeting touch of white flowers like Jour de Hermès and the Virginia juniper stands out strong, almost like the heart. Maybe that initial acidity that fades quickly is just how it evaporates at the start; afterward, the grapefruit and tangerine give a lovely sweetness. At 5 minutes, the tea and spices shine while the juniper lingers with a distant jasmine. By 15 minutes, the potency drops and it settles into something discreet, like the rest of the collection. Here, the white musk and patchouli maintain that fresh, green, clean vibe. Just like Eau 3, it’s top-tier quality and super aromatic for everyday wear. So much grapefruit, so much Virginia juniper, a phenomenal tea with spices… in short: citrus, woody, green, and spicy. Give it a try.

A perfumerie gave me a sample I didn’t know. The opening has something weird, hard to identify, that doesn’t quite convince me, a bit sour. But past that first moment, it transforms into a wonderful green chypre. I’ve added it to my wishlist.

Sisley continues to make artisanal perfumes rich in natural essences. They are expensive but always denote quality; I call them phytoperfumes. They are very good. I see this EDT as more feminine than masculine. It’s a fresh, spontaneous, and well-balanced chypre, perfect for all year round, not just in the heat. It starts citrusy with a sour grapefruit accompanied by dry tea and an earthy, dark patchouli. I agree with the previous review: it evolves, and at the end, it smells like wet earth, as if soaked by a spring storm. Excellent for daytime, without sensuality, ideal for work or running errands. It’s all-terrain. It’s not youthful (for that, there’s Izia), but it denotes class, perfumery craftsmanship, and subtle distinction. Good EDT. Like all Sisley perfumes, they exude class and naturalness.

Sisley continues to craft artisanal perfumes rich in natural essences. They are pricey, but always signal quality—I call them phytoperfumes. They’re excellent. I see this EDT as more feminine than masculine. It’s a fresh, spontaneous, well-balanced chypre, perfect for all year round, not just in the heat. It opens with a sharp grapefruit note paired with dry tea and an earthy, dark patchouli. Agreeing with the previous review: it evolves beautifully, finishing with a scent of damp earth, like ground wet by a spring storm. Stunning for daytime, without being sensual, ideal for work or running errands. It’s versatile. It’s not youthful (that’s Izia’s role), but it exudes class, perfumery craftsmanship, and subtle distinction. A great EDT. Like all Sisley creations, it radiates class and naturalness.

It’s a very natural aromatic eau de toilette, I suppose due to the quality of the ingredients. When sprayed strongly, the opening is perfectly refreshing. Every component smells great, and that naturalness really shines through; the juniper and tea are delicious. It’s addictive and changes quite a bit, nothing like its other two sisters. This trio has something special: its naturalness. You don’t expect much in terms of longevity and sillage for the price, but the time you can enjoy it before reapplying is a pleasant experience. They are very well-balanced; it’s rewarding to try them, like stepping into a garden exploring sensations, there’s nothing like them. Although they don’t last long, they’re meant to be enjoyed at home, on the terrace. Buying the set of the three, which are small, gives you all of them. I always like to smell all three at once, one spray of each; it gives me a sense of serenity, I suppose because of the quality of the components, as with everything from Sisley. I recommend them to relax at home and bring inner serenity and purity. For going out, you just need to reapply more often.
