Despite having a simple formula and the typical base Gorilla uses everywhere, this is now one of my favorites. If it were 100% natural, it would be close to perfection for my taste. It depends on the skin; I imagine the wrong chemistry could be a disaster. In my case, it’s far from unisex; what dominates is the incense and vanilla. It feels warm, a strange blend of spirituality, femininity, and seduction.
It has an amazing pull on me. I got a sample with a Lush order, and the first contact was confusing, but once I applied it to my skin, I was hooked. It smells like jasmine and white flowers with a powdery, sweet base—very feminine and sensual. It also has a hint of incense.
Probably my favorite perfume. If you love white flowers, oriental scents, Nag Champa incense, and intense fragrances, Sikkim Girls will steal your heart. The neroli, jasmine, and plumeria are well-balanced; none dominates. Even though it only lists those three flowers, there’s a noticeable resinous and woody base, like Indian incense—probably sandalwood or vetiver. It’s a well-crafted base that adds so much complexity and quality. I don’t detect vanilla, despite some websites mentioning it. The result is a mysterious, mystical, dark, and romantic fragrance that deserves to be much more popular. I haven’t smelled anything like it. You might like it if you enjoy Lush’s Lust, but Sikkim Girls is on another level: more complex with that woody oriental touch.
I have a small bottle and it just doesn’t fully convince me. It’s very concentrated, and while I adore neroli, here it feels excessive. If you’re looking for something floral, strong, with a hippie vibe, this is for you.
I tried this in summer and found it way too potent for the heat, so I’ve saved it for now. At first, it smells like soap—those white florals from the 90s (24 Fabourg, I’m serious). Then the soap fades and it explodes into plumeria and sweet neroli, an exuberant scent that instantly transports me to southern Mexico. After three hours, the intensity drops, revealing a vanilla-resinous base reminiscent of Tom Ford Noir. It lasts until the next day: beastly projection at first, then settles into a pleasant cloud. It’s floral, cheerful, and feminine, perfect for any day. However, in the dry-down it loses freshness and turns very oriental, which takes off some points. I think it would shine more in spring or autumn than in winter. Recommended for neroli lovers, though it’s more complex than a standard floral.
