Descripción
Senora by Ajmal is an oriental floral fragrance launched in 2016 for women. Designed by an unspecified perfumer, its composition unfolds a scent pyramid where the top notes reveal pepper, violet leaf, and labdanum. The heart is built with rose, patchouli, and orange blossom, while the base notes complete the interpretation with benzoin, amber, vanilla, and musk.

It feels like a tribute to the great perfumes of the eighties: intense, warm, sensual, and bold. It doesn’t go unnoticed, and it’s not subtle. The quality is evident immediately with the rose and violet, while the amber adds an incredible velvety sweetness. Right now, it reminds me of Yves Saint Laurent’s Paris with a touch of Guerlain’s Insolence, probably due to the violet. This delight lasts about 5 hours, then settles close to the skin as powdery and talcum-like. It has great longevity and projection. It’s an oriental floral that transports you to a beautiful, slightly exaggerated place… for me, it’s ideal for the opera. Despite that, it’s versatile; I’ve worn it to work and never felt out of place. I suppose many will find it heavy and label it ‘old lady perfume,’ but I find it exciting and unforgettable. These days, it’s hard to find something like this, as subtlety is the norm.
What a gem! One of those discontinued masterpieces. You can smell the rose and violet leaves over a creamy base. The sillage and longevity are excellent. It smells expensive and exquisite. Sure, some might say it’s for older women, but I don’t care; I’m thrilled feeling distinguished and elegant for such a low price. Could you ask for more? And the bottle is gorgeous too.
Perfect for autumn and winter: projects for 3 hours and lasts 7-8 hours on my skin. It’s elegant and definitely not ‘for older women’; maybe the rose and violet suggest it, but they’re refined, feminine scents. Best for formal or semi-formal events in the evening, though it works well in the office too. Smells like rose and violet with a spicy pepper kick at the start and lots of musk afterward. I imagine a bouquet of flowers soaked in musk with a trail of pepper. I’d wear this as Keira Knightley’s Elizabeth Bennet at the ball in Pride and Prejudice: elegant, feminine, and full of character. Maybe not everyone will like it, but if you love those florals, it’s a safe bet.
Smells identical to Clinique’s Aromatics in White, with notes of labdanum or ambergris. Very sensual and affordable, perfect for cold days.
Beautiful, unintentionally intense, and full of life. Arabic perfumes are in a league of their own; I truly adore them.
