I bought this fragrance blind based on the notes, thinking it would be slightly sweet and delicate since it’s for kids, stepping away from the conventional (talc or citrus). On the contrary, its scent is nothing like childish; quite the opposite. It reminds me a lot of Garnier’s ‘Delicatesse de Avena’ hair care line. It opens with a strong bitter almond liqueur smell, like ‘Disaronno’, which dries down to a synthetic, sugary, and heavy oat body product scent. Definitely nothing like the delicate and childish vibe I imagined. There’s no trace of bergamot or white chocolate as claimed.

Smells like white chocolate cupcake frosting, like Kinder or vanilla. It’s a tiny, discreet, and tinkling sweetness. It’s that kind of children’s perfume formula that gently embraces sugar, evoking the taste of certain toys, stationery items, or white-coated chocolates. Although Tartine et Chocolat offers blue and pink formulas—one with a universal citrus freshness and another with this sugary freshness (that classic, though evolving, definition of boy and girl)—both are tender and precious formulas. Worth checking out.
