I’ve known Poivre Pomelo before grapefruit became mainstream. The brand quality is excellent, with natural and rounded notes. It opens with grapefruit and iris, settling into pepper and yerba mate without being too green. Then a floral sweetness from peony emerges over a clean woody base. It’s good, interesting, made for heat, dry profile but with effervescence, versatile, and with regular performance. The price could be justified by the presentation, but it’s not competitive against much cheaper similar options. Worth trying alongside Cacao Porcelana, my favorites from the brand. Note: 8/10. Tested from the Discovery Set.
Delicious fragrance with a tasty grapefruit… it lasts as long as a morning sigh. Scent 10, performance 0. What a shame. And for what it offers, the price is insane.
