Summer of 84 puts grapefruit front and center with a juicy, sweet, and energizing touch that feels like true niche quality. In the background, white flowers and a subtle aquatic note emerge slowly. It’s incredibly pleasant, natural, and perfect for hot days. Reminds me of John Varvatos Artisan Pure with its citrus and florals, or the naturalness of Atelier Cologne and Acqua di Parma’s Blu Mediterraneo line. I’ve tried two that are very similar: Atelier Materi’s Poivre Pomelo and Atelier Cologne’s Pomelo Paradis. The first is almost identical, but Kerosene’s longevity is better. The second has that grapefruit fizz reminiscent of the drink ‘Quatro,’ but here the scent is more realistic. I love it—it’s unisex and worth trying.
