This perfume once again proves how subjective the world of perfumery is. I don’t smell urine or sweat, though I do detect a slight animalic note that’s nothing compared to scents like YSL’s Kouros or Marlon’s offerings. It reminds me a lot of Francesca Bianchi’s Under My Skin or C21 by Bepolar (also by Angelo Orazio Pregoni), with a very animalic yet sweet, balsamic, and pleasant tone. I’m not sure how much of the urine drop effect is real, but I couldn’t test it since I only have a sample. On my skin, I recognize lots of cinnamon, tobacco, tonka bean, and the floral animalic touch of jasmine. Like all of Pregoni’s scents, it works great on my skin, maintaining high longevity, with powerful projection at first that later becomes moderate. I find it unisex, perhaps better suited for cold climates and evening wear. Scent: 8.5 Longevity: 9 Projection: 8 Value: 6 Versatility: 6 Originality: 8 Overall: 8.5

This perfume once again proves how subjective the world of perfumery is. It doesn’t smell like urine or sweat, though it does have an animalic touch that’s irrelevant compared to YSL’s Kouros or Marlon’s scents. It reminds me a lot of Francesca Bianchi’s Under My Skin or C21 by Bepolar (by Angelo Orazio Pregoni): animalic, sweet, balsamic, and very pleasant. I’m not sure what real effect adding urine has, whether it’s chemical or just marketing, but I haven’t been able to test it since I only have a sample. On my skin, the cinnamon, tobacco, tonka bean, and that slightly floral animalic note of jasmine stand out. Like the others by Pregoni, it works great: high performance, strong initial projection that then moderates. I see it as unisex, ideal for cold climates and night wear. I neither like nor dislike it. It starts with an animalic touch reminiscent of urine, mixed with herbs, flowers, spices, jasmine, rose, tobacco, cinnamon, and perhaps patchouli, all over tonka bean, sandalwood, and a musky base. The opening felt somewhat unpleasant to me, though it evolves and improves as it dries down; it’s tricky to wear with dignity during the first hour. The animalic level, despite a slightly sweet base trying to balance it, ends up being bothersome. I admit I’m not much of a fan of this type of fragrance. Ideal for autumn and winter, and for evening wear. Extremely long-lasting and heavy sillage.

So Angelo Orazio Pregoni, the perfumery wizard, is still selling us smoke in this case—a 150€ bottle. Honestly, Peety smells pretty bad at first, a mix of sweat and urine. It calms down later, but leaves a bland, boring scent that passes without making an impression; at this stage, it’s just like any other designer fragrance, with a touch of cinnamon here, tobacco there, and tonka bean. Performance is terrible; it’s gone in an hour and a half. As for the nonsense about ‘personalizing’ the perfume, I won’t even comment, plus I don’t think it adds anything because it already smells pretty bad on its own.
