I love patchouli, though not everyone is convinced by it. In Argentina, the ones by Anbar and Millanel are decent, but this Solinotes one feels excessively sweet to me, with a syrupy finish that’s very vanilla and caramelized.
Highly recommended: it lasts forever and is totally worth the price. It’s an incredibly intense patchouli that also works great to boost other perfumes with that note, a real beauty. I’ve already bought two bottles.
French mono-note collection, guaranteed quality, and colorful bottles showcasing the best in perfumery. My favorite is the patchouli—the scent of my happy teenage years, those afternoons ‘stinking’ of patchouli oil at school. I bought it without hesitation and was delighted. It starts sweet, caramelized, and green, then the heart note kicks in: fantastic, vibrant, and earthy without losing that sweet base. Excellent!
My encounter with this Solinotes patchouli was accidental, born from a clash with another fragrance. As I left indignant, I spotted the corner where these lines were hidden, almost out of sight. I came back, tested it on blotter and skin, and given the initial impact and the price, I took it without a second thought. It’s a sweet and delicious patchouli from start to finish, paired with a vanilla that creates a warm, enveloping effect. It feels natural with excellent performance: strong projection for the first few hours, then settles close to the skin to be enjoyed. If you like patchouli, it’s a great option.
Review of the set I bought: musk, coconut vanilla, patchouli, amber, and blackberry. The presentation, colors, and quality are above average; the money was well spent. The French know how to make exclusive fragrances. Talking about the patchouli (Pogostemon cablin), it’s similar to a big mint, with a fresh, sweet, oriental balsamic scent—nothing heavy but it definitely makes a presence. They aren’t those square, ugly essential oils. Watch out! It’s meant to be worn alone or mixed, breaking my prejudices. It carries a green note and the patchouli, which is truly excellent today, unisex and useful for organizing scents in my database. The scent is so intense, special, and sensual that once you smell it, you never forget it. Its fresh sweet scent is unmistakable, perfect for fragrance lovers who go the extra mile.
