Onde Sensuelle by L'Artisan Parfumeur is a spicy aromatic fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2014, this composition was created by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. The olfactory pyramid opens with top notes of grapefruit and bergamot; the heart reveals a complex blend of black pepper, white pepper, ginger, cumin, cinnamon, juniper, saffron, cloves, cardamom, and jasmine; and the base settles on natural musk, oud wood, and amber.

The opening is gourmand; the grapefruit is intense and pairs beautifully with bergamot. Then, in the heart, the sweetness of clove adds character, and the spicy notes complement a slightly shy jasmine. The drydown is where it shines: the amber softens the oud without being overpowering, and the woody notes have always been my favorite. It starts fruity, gains depth, and ends up gorgeous and delicate. Duchaufour created something versatile and sensual—be careful, it lingers everywhere!
That bitter, dry grapefruit mixed with what I think is ginger or saffron gives it a very sparkling opening. After two hours, the grapefruit is still there, but I’m starting to notice jasmine and cinnamon; it’s softer but I still love it. Heads up, I only tested it on my wrist—it’s not the same as on the neck or hair, where the intensity really shows. I’ll test it better tomorrow to check the trail, but for now, I’m obsessed.
Sprayed it at 11 and I’m still smelling it past 12. Totally recommended!
