Perfect fragrance for summer, very pleasant and feels quite natural.
Bought it blindly for €19 on sale and, with the summer heat, I dove in headfirst. Smells great: starts sparkling with ginger, turns green and spicy, and closes with that cedar identical to Domínguez’s ‘Citrus Cedro’. Perfect for sunny mornings, but the longevity is ridiculously low. It acts like a cologne, not an EDT; on 33°C days, it barely lifts off the skin. Lasts 2-3 hours, right up against the skin, like a scented body cream you have to sniff by pressing your nose to it. The blueish bottle is pretty, but the atomizer is as hard as Iron Man’s armor. Verdict: smells good, unisex, harmless, and cheap on sale, but if I’d paid €34, I would have been furious. Should we let it rest as the gurus say?
The mint and ginger are felt from the first spray, giving way to a neroli with creamy facets of amber and cedar. Refreshing without falling into a sharp citrus note, it seems different and easy to wear. I’ll use it to leave the gym, since the projection is discreet and I don’t need more.
The mint and ginger are noticeable from the first spray, giving way to a neroli with creamy facets of amber and cedar. It’s refreshing without being piercing, seems different and easy to wear. I’ll use it after the gym because the projection is discreet and I don’t need more.
A small but great success from AD. It’s a bold neroli, nothing shy, that dominates the opening (though somewhat camouflaged by ginger and mint) and persists in the dry down along with a rich cedar base. It follows the line of other Adolfo fragrances, like Citrus Cedro, but with more Mediterranean exuberance. It’s not super formal, but neither is it informal; it has a festive, fun vibe, yet elegant and sumptuous. Ideal for a terrace aperitif or a sunny morning. Maybe not for a professional setting, but it won’t clash too much. I also don’t think age is an issue. If you like it, you like it. For sure, it’s delicious and creamy, a very pleasant earthy aroma. Personally, I love it.
Super delicious and refreshing. The mint and ginger give a marked push in the opening, but nothing annoying. It evolves beautifully and ends with a woody, slightly bitter dry down. Very delicious fragrance.
It’s a gem, something from the gods. It’s like putting a lemon peel right up to your nose. I see it as more unisex than masculine. Citric and acidic aroma, ideal for hot days or enclosed spaces. Good longevity: not an Arab bomb, but it lasts a few hours with a two-meter trail. You won’t regret it, highly recommended.
The opening is weird and not very pleasant, but once it settles, it smells delicious to my nose. It’s clean, neat, floral with a touch of sweet, bitter, and warm (I assume neroli and ginger) and a dry woody base where everything comes together. It’s not totally fresh or vibrant; it makes me think, but it’s for warm weather. On my skin, it has had decent longevity, but like these fragrances, little projection and sillage. This doesn’t bother me; I like intimate, neat, slightly sweet, and soapy perfumes. It doesn’t smell vintage at all; if you want to try neroli and worry about it being too classic, this is simply delicious. It’s unisex, like using a floral soap that makes you smell clean and fresh.
The opening is rare and a bit unpleasant, but once it dries down, it’s a delicious scent. Clean, neat, floral with a touch of sweet, bitter, and warm (I guess neroli and ginger) and a dry woody base where everything settles. It’s not super fresh or vibrant, but definitely for warm weather. On my skin, it lasted well, though like others in its style, it has low projection and trail. I don’t mind; I like intimate, neat, slightly sweet, and soapy perfumes. It doesn’t smell vintage or outdated; it’s simply rich. Unisex, like using a floral soap that leaves you clean and fresh.
It’s an exquisite fragrance, something from the gods. It’s like putting a lemon peel right on your nose. I’d rate it more unisex than masculine. Very citrusy and acidic aroma, perfect for warm days or climates and enclosed spaces. It has good performance; it’s not an Arabic bomb, but it behaves well: a few hours of longevity and a two-meter sillage. You won’t regret it. Highly recommended.
I’m not good at leaving comments, but I’m leaving this for niche lovers. Personally, I don’t wear designer or commercial perfumes, but I needed something to use at home after a shower, with that clean, fresh, soapy, Mediterranean scent, evoking a day by the seaside with trees and a relaxing breeze. When I heard it yesterday at a retail store, I wanted to believe it couldn’t be true: it’s a toilet water that doesn’t give you that nose-itching sensation that low-quality ones do. This Neroli from Adolfo Domínguez left me speechless, and I had to buy it. To those who love niche, give this ‘commercial’ perfume the opportunity it deserves.
A year ago I wrote my first review of this Neroli, and with more than half the bottle used, I reaffirm everything I said: it smells good, but it neither lasts nor projects (not on skin nor on clothes). The only standout is the blue bottle: pretty and elegant, that’s it. I know green citrus scents are light, but with 15 sprays it doesn’t even last two hours (even being one of the first on the market). Honestly, I have other cheaper summer colognes that last 3-4 hours with fewer sprays and are more noticeable, at least on clothes. Pretty disappointed, because even though it says EDT, it doesn’t reach that range. I remember grabbing it for 20 euros, and now it seems expensive. No need to say that the 34 euros I saw in stores aren’t justified. Hoping to get rid of the bottle to remove it from my collection.
It doesn’t last anything on skin; it seems like a cologne that lasts less than an hour. There are really better fragrances from Adolfo Domínguez.
I own almost all of Domínguez’s fragrances; their worst flaw is longevity, but this one goes too far: it neither lasts nor projects well. The price in Argentina is moderately high. I like neroli, but this smells off; I don’t see it standing out, and if it’s there, other notes overpower it, and the scent just doesn’t appeal to me. It’s the first from the brand that doesn’t work for me. If you’re looking for neroli on a budget, go for Jean de Provence’s Neroli Intense or the Maison version that imitates Tom Ford.

I’m going to be the dissenting note and do this perfume justice. It lasts quite a bit for me: yesterday I sprayed 8 times on my neck at 4 PM and could still smell it at 9 PM, plus it touched my clothes and it’s still smelling today. Another curious thing: in the dry-down, it reminds me a lot of Battito d’Ali. Obviously they’re not the same, especially in the opening due to the mint and ginger, but in the dry-down they’re siblings from the same family. At €20 for 120ml, it deserves applause.
I’ll be the odd one out and do justice to this one. It lasts forever: I sprayed it on my neck 8 times at 4 PM, and at 9 PM it was still noticeable, plus it stained my clothes, and it still smells today. Curiously, once it dries, it smells a lot like Battito d’Ali; they’re not the same, especially in the opening with the mint and ginger, but in the dry down they’re like siblings with their differences. At 20 euros for 120ml, it deserves my applause.
