  • Honestly, I wasn’t in the mood to buy it. I’m not one of those people who just grab whatever’s expensive; I have cheaper ones I absolutely love. There were no testers, but the incense note caught my attention. Curiosity killed the cat, and SoundCheck smells like everything generic—no sillage, no longevity. Totally disappointed, money thrown in the trash.

  • Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much and I’m not a fan of expensive fragrances; I have several cheap ones I absolutely love. There were no testers, but the incense note caught my attention. Curiosity killed the cat: SoundCheck smells super generic, leaves no sillage, and doesn’t last at all. Totally disappointed, the money went straight down the drain.

I tried the MTV Soundcheck yesterday alongside Davidoff’s Cool Water. I sprayed two sprays on each forearm. While Cool Water faded after 2-3 hours and evaporated completely by hour 5, MTV kept projecting. It has a very fresh, pleasant citrus opening, though it fades quickly in about 20 minutes. Then it transforms into the exact same scent as the Nike Gold Edition, but with more power and longevity. Compared to this MTV, the Nike feels like a cologne. Since they’re from the same house, the similarity is obvious. It seems like, just as Nike is a clone of Bleu de Chanel, this MTV is too. The scent is more than acceptable, though a bit chemical or unnatural, with good projection for about 3 hours and longevity exceeding 6 hours on skin. Honestly, for the price here, it’s a steal.

It has a very pleasant, fresh citrus opening, though it fades quickly, around 20 minutes. Then it turns into the same scent as Nike Gold Edition, just with more punch and longevity. Nike smells like a cologne next to this MTV. Apparently, they’re from the same house, hence the huge similarity. Since Nike is a clone of Bleu de Chanel, I’d guess this MTV is one too. The scent is more than acceptable, though a bit chemical or not very natural, with good projection for about 3 hours and longevity that beats 6 hours on the skin. Honestly, at the price it sells for in my country, it’s a real steal.
