Sorry for the previous mistake; I confused this with the regular Graphite by Claude Montana. My real take: it’s exquisite. Maybe unisex, except for some unlisted dry woods. It’s not a wood fragrance per se, but an oriental with woods. It blends many florals and fruits seamlessly with the woods, without spices. Rose dominates the top and heart, but isn’t the sole star. The base shifts significantly where the oud and vetiver meet; it’s a sweet, subtle oud, different from others. It has balance and harmony—it doesn’t overwhelm but stands out. It’s versatile, perfect for evening but also for daytime indoors. It doesn’t resemble other trendy rose-oud scents; it’s a great creative choice. If you’re looking for something exclusive from a luxury brand, this Graphite Oud is definitely it. It’s refined, elegant, and very sexy. Glad I tried it after mixing it up with the other Graphite.
Montana Graphite Oud is elegant and masculine, featuring a lead oud note that I’d have preferred if it were slightly less intense. The classic rose-oud combo (which initially smells like alcohol) gets a fresh twist thanks to the raspberry. It’s very well made for the price and great for comparing against others that cost triple. The dry-down smells luxurious.
Love it. It delivers on its promise of being sweet, fruity, and floral, yet the woody masculine touch adds real character. It smells rich, has great sillage, and evolves incredibly well, lasting a long time. It’s capricious and flirtatious, sometimes making you sigh. By the way, the oud is very soft, nothing invasive.
