Every skin and every nose is a different world, and to each their own. But when I see people criticizing it without trying it… oh well. This is my personal opinion; it might be different from yours (and that’s okay), but it’s sincere. Dear Fragrantica, the violet note isn’t correct; it’s wood violet. I’m a lover of honey and ginger, so it was likely I’d like it. When the perfumery paper arrived, I couldn’t take it away from my nose; it’s ADDICTIVE. Finally, I tried it on my skin (very poor, crocodile-like) and besides beating the scent on the paper, it has ideal performance. My nose is that of an amateur, but I’m a good honey singer; as a child, they even gave me pieces of honeycomb, and here there is a wonderful honey, a synesthesia that makes me taste it. There’s much more than honey, but the fragrance honors its name. If you like ginger, it’s glorious here. All wrapped in a slightly tipsy halo; I feel the apricot as candied fruit, a beautiful touch of saffron (it nuances but doesn’t overwhelm), the sweetness of vanilla and other sweet notes. I also sense a bit of dark chocolate. As it progresses, I feel it becoming more woody, always headlined by honey. It’s sweet but doesn’t cloy. Although I like compliments, I don’t seek them; I perfume myself mainly for myself. To my surprise, my husband complimented it (he likes 1 out of every 50 I show him, which is frustrating). I think it’s better to use it in cool and medium temperatures. It has a dark touch, very sexy, great for the night. But being sweet, cozy, warm, and comforting, it’s ideal for pampering yourself at home. This wonder gives me darkness and light. I don’t have Devil’s Sweet, so I can’t compare it; it doesn’t resemble anything I own. For me, a beautiful addiction; I can’t stop sniffing myself when I wear it (I’d even bite myself). If you like honey and ginger, I hope you can try it.

  2. Well, first of all, I’ve never written a review. I never felt comfortable describing fragrances, except with friends, but I’m going to do it as if I’m talking to them. The presentation is sober luxury, a bottle with a good grip and a direct, misty but potent sprayer. Upon spraying, the notes linger for seconds; you wish to hold onto them. Immediately, the honey settles, soft, already accompanied by another aroma. On my skin, I sense the plum very subtly. Ten minutes later, the spices rise—saffron and ginger—and that’s where that delight stays. I’d swear it carries some wood that comes and goes, giving it a warm, enveloping feel. I don’t sense the violet; I would have loved it; it would have been wonderful. All the notes go and come until the rum arrives to heat things up more. A couple of hours later, it settles with vanilla and touches of toffee. For now, I don’t sense the chocolate everyone talks about; maybe it appears later; I’ve worn it for over 5 hours and it’s still evolving. On my first outing, I received compliments from the girl at the salon. It’s a fragrance with performance, which I value a lot. Important sillage. Three sprays (it’s 30 degrees here) and it’s there, firmly. I’m not a honey person; the only one I like is Elie Saab Le Parfum Intense. This has nothing to do with it; it’s a fine, elegant, warm, and enveloping gourmand. This box goes straight to the closet until December. In Christmas times, I love Shanghai Lily by Tom Ford for the spices, but this year it will take its place: Honey Extase, mmm, I already feel wrapped in its warmth for those cold days and nights. Thanks to Bertrand Duchafour and Pierre Flores for this marvelous creation and to Karina Dilone for being part of the project and introducing me to this perfume I’m already loving, which doesn’t resemble anything in my collection.

This perfume is a true marvel, a genuine ode to honey and a dream for gourmand lovers. The first thing is its originality. I’m a fan of gourmands; I have many swirling around in vanilla or chocolate, but I never thought I’d be interested in a honey one. It was a resounding success. It’s exquisitely crafted; I perceive high quality. Even if someone doesn’t like honey, if you’re a gourmand lover, you’ll be hooked. It smells like realistic honey, never alone; it’s the heart of the fragrance, accompanied by chocolate, tonka bean, and caramelized notes, without falling into cloying territory. It’s sophisticated, sweet, elegant, and refined—a perfume with capital letters—and it lasts many hours. I’ve read it smells like apricot; I sense it slightly, along with a subtle rum, but in the background, nothing overpowers. I don’t sense the violet or flowers from Fragrantica. It highlights its unisex character. These fragrances are usually feminine, but I’m a man, and it works perfectly on my skin. Nobody told me it smelled like a woman. It’s because the honey is darkened by the chocolate and the liqueur aspect, giving it body, depth, and an appetizing darkness that suits male skin. I’m surprised; it’s become one of my most appreciated perfumes in just two days. Addictive, cozy, and promising for cold months. The longevity is brutal. I put it on at four in the afternoon and it smelled the same; it projected well. I showered and came out, and with the sponge, I could still smell the base fixative, very pleasant and ambered. I went to bed and I was still smelling it. When I smell it, I seem to see Karina with those lively eyes. Even though I’m a fan of Karina, I promise it’s a gem of gourmand perfumery, whether she created it or not; here we give true opinions to help us out.

  4. First off, I’ve never written reviews; I was too embarrassed to describe perfumes, but I’m going to do it as if I’m talking to friends. The presentation is luxurious and understated, with a bottle that has a good grip and a direct, powerful sprayer. At first, the notes are noticeable for a few seconds, then the soft honey settles in alongside another aroma. On my skin, I get a very subtle blackcurrant. After 10 minutes, saffron and ginger rise up, creating a delight. I swear there’s some wood adding an enveloping warmth; I don’t detect the violet, but I would have loved to. The notes ebb and flow until the rum kicks in and adds more heat. After a few hours, it settles with vanilla and touches of toffee. I don’t smell the chocolate everyone mentions; maybe it comes later, as I’ve had it on for 5 hours and it’s still evolving. On my first outing, the girl at the salon congratulated me. It has great performance and significant sillage; with three sprays in 30-degree weather, it holds strong. I’m not usually a honey person, except for Elie Saab, but this is a fine, elegant, and warm gourmand. This box is going straight into my closet until December. I use Shanghai Lily by Tom Ford for Christmas, but this year, Miel Extase will take over; I feel wrapped in its warmth for those cold nights. Thanks to Bertrand Duchafour, Pierre Flores, and Karina Dilone for this project that I already love and that doesn’t resemble anything in my collection.

After months of thinking about whether to buy it or not due to such opposite opinions (people who hate it and people who adore it), I decided to take the risk and I must say I’m very glad. I don’t consider myself a lover of honey perfumes, and that held me back, along with comments that it was dark… When it arrived, I can only say that spraying it made me feel happy because I liked it so much. It’s a perfume of exceptional quality where the honey is felt but is wrapped in apricots, nuts, spices, liquor, tonka bean… it’s spectacular. I do find the same vibe as Devil’s Sweet by Narcotica; that’s why I don’t understand why people who love Devil’s Sweet don’t like Honey Extase. For me, Honey Extase is of infinitely higher quality and has a much more refined aroma; I agree with Taurien that it is sweet and mature. Regarding its longevity and trail, I confirm it’s spectacular, and since it arrived, it created an addiction in me and I can’t stop using it (despite having over 400 perfumes and feeling the need to use the rest). Definitely, if you have the chance, I encourage you to try it; in my case, I resisted for 4 months and now it’s one of the best acquisitions of 2023. Well done, Karina, I knew that coming from you it couldn’t be a dark perfume… it’s very yours, elegant and classy.

  6. I absolutely loved this perfume; it’s a beautiful ode to honey. That note is the protagonist from the very beginning. When I first sprayed it, I smelled honey, with a brief memory of tobacco leaves. Then the fruity part appeared, some dried apricots that make the blend juicy. In the first few hours, it smells like liquid honey, sweet and deep, but not cloying. As it progresses, the honey gets darker, the spiced tonka enters without losing the ginger’s heat. At nine hours, it smells like comb honey, with beeswax. It has moderate sillage and lasts about 12 hours on skin. Compared to Dulce Diablo, this shares the dried apricot, but Dulce Diablo is creamier, airier, more liqueur-like and chocolatey, with an amber dry down. Here, honey rules; it’s more mature, dense, unisex, and less sweet. It’s perfect for people looking for honeyed scents with character, nothing simple. I also layered it with Scandal By Night and Chocolate Queen by Navitus, recommended by Karina. I liked them, but this one stands alone without overshadowing its personality. Congratulations, beautiful Karina! Solid fragrance. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 7/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Would I buy again? Yes.

Given the huge hype around this fragrance, I decided to buy a decant before venturing into wanting it at all costs. Although Karina is very nice, I don’t see myself in the need to flatter her perfume, although I must say it’s not a bad perfume. Everything I feel from it is an overwhelming honey, with nuts, saffron, and tonka bean, probably some vanilla and a tiny bit of saffron in the dry-down. When I say overwhelming honey, it’s because I made the mistake of using it in the morning and felt a bit suffocated. I think it’s more of an aroma to enjoy on cold days; I perceive it as quite linear and in my case it’s more pleasant after about 3 hours when it drops in intensity. On my skin, it lasted about 14 hours, with high projection for the first 3 hours and then gradually fading. Would I buy it? No. It’s definitely not my type. Is the hype justified? I think if you like honey, it is quite imposing and you could enjoy it for hours. My general impression is that you must definitely try it before deciding to buy such a large bottle that you might not be able to wear it later because the aroma is too strong.

I agree with @Taurien’s description. In the opening, I sense something spicy like tobacco; then I feel very faintly the plum and dried fruits. The rum joins with the saffron and ginger and dries into a dark honey with tonka bean, spices, rum, and woods. In my case, I don’t sense the caramel, toffee, or vanilla; they are very in the background. For me, it’s a spicy, woody, dense, and dark honey, perfect for the autumn-winter season. It’s not a cloying fragrance; it’s not a cloying Sweet, it’s more of a Spicy Sweet. A very nice fragrance for fans of the honey note, as it’s the most realistic honey I’ve ever smelled; it’s like opening a jar of honey with spicy touches and putting your head in it. If you don’t like honey, don’t even get close since it’s the protagonist from start to finish. Scent 10/10, Longevity 10/10 I shower and it’s still right on the skin, Projection 10/10 people smell it a lot when I wear it.

With the huge hype, I decided to buy a decant before splurging on the full bottle. Although Karina is nice, I’m not going to sycophantically praise her perfume, even though it’s not bad. All I sense is an overwhelming honey with nuts, saffron, and tonka bean, maybe vanilla and a touch of saffron in the dry down. I say overwhelming because I made the mistake of wearing it in the morning and felt like I was suffocating. I think it’s better for cold days; I perceive it as linear, and in my case, it’s more pleasant after 3 hours when the intensity drops. On my skin, it lasted 14 hours, with high projection for the first 3 hours before gradually fading. Would I buy it? No, it’s not my type. Is the hype justified? If you like honey, yes, it’s imposing and you can enjoy it for hours. My verdict: absolutely, try it before buying a big bottle that you might not be able to wear because the scent is too strong.

  10. For Karina, with all my love… I called to try it and even bought it. Even though I know it’s her notes, I treated myself. It smells absolutely incredible and projects like crazy, so at this price, you can’t expect less. But with this insane success, it seems everyone is buying it, I’ve lost the urge to wear it just like the rest. Suddenly it’s the best perfume in the world; every relevant YouTuber and even other humans have picked it up (even if it’s expensive, they say some people are going broke…). On the other hand, I haven’t read a single negative review, it’s curious. Everything seems perfect. Maybe we should rush to buy it because it’s the quintessence or the elixir of the gods. Or it’s just marketing… Sorry, someone had to say it. Anyway, for all this and more, I’ve lost the desire to wear it, buy it, or even read reviews, and look how much I was looking forward to it.

  11. I absolutely loved it; it’s an ode to honey that dominates the entire fragrance. Right out of the bottle, it smells like honey with a brief touch of tobacco, then the fruity notes kick in with juicy cherries. It feels like liquid honey—sweet and deep without being cloying. Over time, the honey darkens, revealing spiced tonka and the heat of ginger. At 9 hours, it smells like comb honey with beeswax. Moderate trail and lasts about 12 hours. Compared to Dulce Diablo, this one feels more mature, dense, and unisex, less sweet, with honey as the absolute star. Ideal for those seeking something distinguished. I also tried layering it with Scandal By Night and Chocolate Queen, but I enjoy it solo to keep its personality intact. Congratulations, Karina! Solid fragrance. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 7/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Would I buy again? Yes.

I have a decant and I’m so happy I’ve already added it to my 2025 wishlist. Honey doesn’t usually evolve well on my skin, but this is something else: so rich! It feels like organic, pure, clean honey. The first hour is strong and a bit suffocating, but luckily it settles down and then those delicious notes emerge. The chocolate is there, low but present. I loved it; it exceeded my expectations. I didn’t rush to try it because of the honey aspect, and it gave me the chance without me even looking for it; now I need the bottle. What a delicious fragrance. It has power, people! I sprayed three times on one arm and shortly after my niece came down from the second floor and asked if I bought a new perfume; she smelled it from above. Omg! It takes down governments, as our dear Karina says. Congratulations, beauty! Try it if you like sweet perfumes.

Honey Extase is a rich, well-made scent, totally unisex, with an elegant vibe and a luxurious feel. Whether you’re wearing loungewear or an expensive suit, this perfume breathes luxury. Upon spraying, I thought of Kilian’s Back to Black, but they have nothing to do with each other. They seemed similar because of that potent honey, apricot, and sweet notes, but after a minute, nothing in common. It lasts about 7 hours on skin and has a powerful sillage that’s noticeable wherever you go. It’s absolutely delicious; it makes you drool over the sweetness, but it’s not a typical gourmand; it’s refined and elegant. A total hit. It couldn’t be a bad perfume if Kari from Dearmakeupdiary created it; she understands everything. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Interesting perfume; it’s the example of honey that becomes addictive when combined with spicy and floral notes. To be honest, I imagined it to be denser and darker; here, the gourmand and lustful honey notes mix with fruity and spicy ones. The result is a soft, velvety construction with a luminous trail that envelops the senses. The soul of the fragrance is rich and sumptuous, but it’s nuanced by caramel that seems to melt into a cloud of vanilla, revealing a base of chocolate and tonka. It’s sweet but not cloying, well-balanced, and with surprising longevity on my skin of 10 to 12 hours. I sense it leans towards the feminine side, but I understand that by current standards it could be unisex. (Courtesy of Taurien)

In my experience, Navitus makes dupes or inspirations, but VERY INSPIRED… Chocolate Queen: Dolce Passione (Pantheon Roma), Baklava Royale: GON (Elie Saab), Honey Extase: Devil’s Sweet (Narcotica). What a shame because with so much excitement I bought the fragrances and ran into that. It wasn’t worth almost two months of waiting for the perfumes to arrive. If you don’t have the perfumes I’m referring to, and if it suits you to buy Navitus, since some of the mentioned ones are from niche houses and one is designer. Reviewers should have the value of stating the names of the perfumes they emulate to avoid consumers falling into redundancy.

I received this fragrance with high expectations. The notes are everything I could ask for! Not disappointed at all; it’s perfect for me. An exquisite honey scent, not cloying at all since I’m a gourmand lover. On my skin, it highlights a sweet, juicy fig, honey, chocolate, and a touch of saffron. I can’t yet speak to the sillage and performance fairly because where I live it’s infernally hot; I’ll update on that later. Anyone who loves gourmand scents will absolutely love this!

  18. Dear Kari Dill, I just received your perfume Miel Extase—it’s a delight. I had a little fear it might not be my thing, but it was love at first sniff! You mentioned fireworks, and honestly, that’s exactly what I saw, haha. That opening of fig, honey, and nuts is heavenly. And that base with tonka bean, Madagascar vanilla, chocolate, caramel, and toffee… ufff. Highly recommended; I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. Congratulations on your perfume! 😘

  20. To me, the opening is pure honey with ginger and saffron. It evolves with the ginger, but the rest of the notes complete the picture; to my nose, it’s intense honey with a spicy kick. I’ll give it a deeper try. It’s a bomb in terms of longevity and projection. If you over-spray, it can get overwhelming due to the sweetness. Highly recommended for honey lovers. It reminds me of the Scandal style, but Honey Extase is a bit more complex and potent.

Finally, it arrived! I was blown away by this perfume; it smells truly luxurious on my skin. The dark chocolate and honey really stand out, and I can also detect a hint of dark rum, just like the ones from my home country, Cuba. It changes very fast, it has many facets… I liked it a lot.
