It’s a beautiful perfume.

Smells like plum, peach, and amber. You might think it’s fresh, but it’s actually sweet and fruity. If you like these notes, you might enjoy it, but I don’t see it as a summer scent. The amber can become overwhelming in the heat. I’d recommend it more for spring than summer, though that’s just personal preference.

Smells of plum, peach, and amber. While one might expect freshness, it’s actually sweet and fruity. If you love these notes, you might like it, but I don’t see it as ideal for summer; the heat can make the amber feel heavy. I recommend it more for spring, though it ultimately comes down to personal taste.

I don’t like it. I imagined it to be fresh, but to me it smells synthetic, like musk with acetone. Over time it softens and you can perceive fruity and floral touches, but I don’t find harmony in its composition. It lasts very little and has almost no sillage. It’s one of the few fragrances where I can say it will be hard to find a suitable use for it.

I didn’t like it. I imagined it to be fresh, but to me it smells synthetic, like musk with acetone. Over time, it softens and fruity, floral notes emerge, but there’s no harmony. It lasts very little and barely leaves a trail. It’s hard to find a suitable use for it.

Mediterranean is exactly what it evokes: a flat, serene blue like the sea. It’s not a fragrance meant to stand out, but I love the slightly tart plum accord. A great option for a hot summer day.

I only use Mediterranean in summer: it’s fresh, light, and on my skin it doesn’t vanish instantly like other Elizabeth Arden fragrances. It’s true that it smells the same from start to finish, but for me, that’s a virtue. It’s sweet with just the right measure and has that woody amber, sandalwood, and musk base, perfect for vacations. When I wear it, my son says I smell like pool water, and it’s exactly what it evokes: radiant sun and an infinite pool in front of the sea. This aquatic scent isn’t pretentious; it’s discreet and delicate, perfect for the woman who walks barefoot on the sand.

I was looking for something fresh and cheap for the heat, and the Elizabeth Arden brand had already surprised me with Splendor or Sunflowers. The blue bottle matched the name and evoked a summer morning with the Mediterranean in the background. The fragrance, however, disappoints. There’s no echo of what it seems to promise. It’s flat, bland, and linear. It’s pleasant but smells like many others, which I detest. The persistence is painful; it’s gone in a quarter of an hour. It lasts longer on clothes, but it’s still linear: it smells the same at the beginning as at the end. The trail is minimal; you have to apply a lot for it to be noticeable, so the 100 ml last at most fifteen days. I let my daughter smell it, and she had to press her nose right up to my neck. I’ll use it up, but I won’t buy it again.

Every time I use it, people ask about it and are surprised to find out it’s by Elizabeth Arden. It’s a matter of chemistry. It suits me very well, although it’s not for everyone or for every occasion. Better for hot days and tropical climates.

It’s very fresh and aquatic for me… but I don’t think it’s my type 😉

Unlike Red Door, I’ve really enjoyed Mediterranean. It smells incredibly fresh and brings me back to the beach. Highly recommended.

Unlike Red Door, Mediterranean didn’t go down well with me. Very fresh scent that reminds me of the beach. Highly recommended.

This perfume smells like papaya… I don’t know if it was reformulated. Either way, I don’t like it at all. Only recommended for those who like fruity scents.

I love the scent, but it fades in a flash.

I’m obsessed with fresh perfumes and this one fits the bill; it has a masculine touch, but overall it feels more like something for ladies or older women.

I’m fascinated by fresh perfumes and this one hits the mark; plus, it has a masculine edge. Overall, I really like it, but it’s the type of fragrance I’d categorize as ‘for ladies or older women’.
