  Xerjoff – Malesia: Welcome to another of my tests on Jxtaperfumes, where I show you the fragrance live. Smelling the atomizer, it smells of very subtle sweet wood, but with the quality Xerjoff deserves. To everyone’s surprise, the opening is floral and fresh, but within four seconds, woods and amber dominate. It’s a wet wood wrapped in amber, giving it sensuality and preventing it from being dry; a great move that makes it versatile. I imagine a felled tree trunk after a storm, wrapped in a vanilla-coated layer of amber: it’s mature, provocative, and sensual. Over time, balsamic notes appear, a light vanilla, and the oud, which is very settled and supports everything. It’s not sweet nor dry; Malesia balances woods, balsamics, and those sweet tints of amber and vanilla, making it more versatile than it seems. A key detail: it always gives a sensation of humidity, like a wet wine cork (without the wine smell). In short, if you like realistic woods with sweet notes that embrace them, this is for you. It’s not very strong, it doesn’t project or leave an imposing trail, but it’s long-lasting and intimate. If someone greets you with two kisses, they’ll surely ask what you’re wearing; it gives elegance and exclusivity.

  Xerjoff – Malesia: Welcome to another review from Jxtaperfumes. I’m atomizing the fragrance so you can see how Malesia by Xerjoff evolves live. Smelling the atomizer, it smells of very subtle sweet wood, but promises quality worthy of the house. To everyone’s surprise, the opening is floral and seems like it will be fresh, but within four seconds, woods and amber dominate. It’s a wet wood wrapped in amber, giving it sensuality and removing dryness, a move that makes it versatile. It brings to mind a felled tree trunk after a storm wrapped in a layer of vanilla-coated amber; it’s a mature and provocative scent that evokes sensuality. After some time, balsamic notes appear, a light vanilla, and the oud, rare to notice but very settled, supporting everything. It’s not sweet nor completely dry; Malesia balances woods, balsamics, and sweet tints of amber and vanilla, making it more versatile than it seems. A key detail: it always gives a sensation of humidity, like a wet wine cork (without the wine smell), but rather the sensation of a wet cork. In short, if you like realistic woods and sweet fragrances that tame those woods, this is for you. It’s not very strong, it doesn’t project or leave an imposing trail, but it’s long-lasting and intimate. If someone greets you with two kisses, they’ll surely ask what you’re wearing; you’ll make an impression of elegance and exclusivity.

  Of all the Xerjoff scents I’ve tried, this is the one that impressed and surprised me the most. It starts with a fake floral freshness that smells of humidity the moment you spray it. The flowers only open the door for a few minutes… and then it’s something else. Soon, you realize what’s coming: a scent heavy on woods and amber, very different from what I usually wear. It’s not dry or rough. Based on the base of woods and amber, there’s something in the overall composition that transports you to a humid context without it being bad; it’s comforting, creamy, and full of personality. Maybe I’m ignorant about perfumery, but the movie is novel. It’s deep, it gives you shelter, a strange sensation that tells a story. Very much for personal enjoyment and, yes, still wearable. It’s more serious than formal, nocturnal, and has notable performance. Masculine. Definitely a great perfume, it has reached me.

I might be ignorant about perfumery, but the movie is novel. It’s deep, it gives you shelter, a strange sensation that tells a story. Very much for personal enjoyment and, yes, still wearable.
