I bought this blind with high expectations, hoping for the listed notes, but it was nothing like that. Barely did it arrive before it was gone… it smelled like honey and flowers, nothing like what was advertised.
I couldn’t resist a second-hand deal and picked it up in 30 ml, nearly full. It wasn’t love at first sniff, but the more I smell it, the more I like it. It’s a gourmand, but not cloying—like a chestnut or nut dessert. On my skin, it smells good: sweet but not too much, creamy with a slight dusty touch. I love scents that step outside the norm, and this is one of them. Unfortunately, the performance on my skin isn’t great, so I’m glad I caught it on sale.
Something’s off between me and this perfume. Unlike others that just twist on me, this is a disaster. The opening is shrill, like a mosquito with those ultrasonic zappers. It smells like dry sweat and burnt rubber; I don’t think the cumin was intentional. It lasts maybe two minutes, like a defense mechanism against gourmands. Then it calms down: a creamy, meringue-like sweetness with nutty nuances that feels comforting but vanishes quickly. It’s a tormented relationship: a tender hug after a tantrum and a slap on the head. I guess I got the short end of the bag, bad luck, but I envy you because others must love it.
