  • Olfactory Memories

After about 5 hours with it, I have to say it doesn’t really work for me. As for performance, I’m disappointed, or at least it doesn’t last on my skin; I’ve been wearing it for 5 hours and can barely smell it from an inch away. The scent is pleasant and you can tell it’s quality, yes, but it hasn’t fully convinced me. It smells herbal and fresh, relatively clean/soapy, mixed with orange/mandarin peel, a background of cardamom, and a bright, fresher note that might be those “solar notes” listed (what the hell are those?). As it dries down, something of honey and woods emerges, but very subtly. As I said, it smells great; it’s a green, fresh, natural scent that’s very well blended and likely to please people, but mainly due to its poor performance, it doesn’t earn my approval. I’ll give it more chances.

  • I gave it a very light touch on my hand over an hour ago, and I’m already noticing good longevity and projection; with normal doses (5-7 sprays), it will definitely perform like a champ. It’s not an exact clone, but it reminds me a lot of Prada Infusion d’Homme. Update: I tested it side by side, and yes, there’s a similarity in the mandarin, mimosa, and cedar/wood notes. Prada uses rose, whereas here we have a violet that’s not intrusive at all. Maybe the musky and honeyed touches steal a bit of the violet’s spotlight, though the honey note is very subtle and not cloying. I like it and I’m adding it to my wishlist.
