Lead X Vincent Ricord & Bertrand Duchaufour is CZAR's new fragrance for men, launched in 2026. It belongs to the Aromatic Fougère family and was created by Bertrand Duchaufour and Vincent Ricord.
The structure pairs a bright citrus-spice opening with an aromatic floral heart and a woody base with amber, powdery and earthy shading.
The top features bergamot, mandarin, cardamom, geranium and apple. Citrus brings lift, cardamom adds fresh spice, while apple and geranium give a green, lightly fruity edge.
The heart centers on lavender, cedar, iris, incense and jasmine. Lavender sets the fougère tone, iris softens toward powdery, cedar frames the woods, and incense with jasmine moves between dry, resinous and white floral.
The base blends sandalwood, labdanum, patchouli, vetiver and tonka bean. Creamy sandalwood meets amber-like labdanum, earthy vetiver and patchouli, and the mellow sweetness of tonka.
Taken together, it reads as woody and aromatic, both warm spicy and fresh spicy, with citrus and amber support plus powdery, earthy, white floral touches and a clear patchouli thread.
