Seeing the bottle photo on Fragrantica leaves you speechless: is it a pistol with a phallic head? Does it shoot weird scents? It’s a strange, creative, subversive house using tricks to grab attention. I wanted to avoid a remake of the terrifying Secretions Magnifique, but Je Suis un Homme starts fresh and carefree with citrusy orange, a soft clove, and subtle leather. It’s not a heavy testosterone bomb. By evening, the power and projection drop, but it still smells good: quality citrus with an animalic touch. All in all, it smells nice, but the soft longevity prevents me from fully falling for it.

Not my style and it doesn’t quite convince me. It reminds me of a classic barbershop aftershave, but with a different spicy and leathery touch. The quality feels solid, and the drydown leaves a pleasant woody base. Performance isn’t the best: it launches very intense and citrusy, like a bomb, but fades quickly to sit close to the skin. Lasting power is good (6-8 hours), but the projection is soft, more so than typical for an EDP. Sometimes reminds me of Tom Ford fougères, though it’s not quite one. I see it as masculine and for a very defined audience; within that group, it’s versatile because it doesn’t overwhelm. Ideal for day, not for night. Scent: 6, Longevity: 8, Projection: 6, Value: 5, Versatility: 8, Uniqueness: 6, Overall: 6.5

Not my style, so it never really clicks for me. It smells like a classic barbershop aftershave with a spicy, leathery twist. The quality feels solid; the drydown leaves a pleasant woody and spicy base. Performance isn’t its strong suit: it starts intense and citrusy, like a bomb, but fades quickly to sit close to the skin. Lasting power is decent at 6-8 hours, but the projection is soft, more so than typical for an EDP of this type. Sometimes reminds me of certain Tom Ford fougères, though it’s not quite one. I see it as more masculine and for a specific crowd. Within that group, it’s versatile because it doesn’t overwhelm. Better suited for day than night.
