  Interesting. At first, it smells like saffron, similar to Swiss Arabian’s Shaghaf Oud; that initial bite is the same, almost as if the alcohol carries something stronger and spicier. I appreciate a very nice velvety raspberry. I detect leather or suede at the start, but the brand keeps it in the background; I can smell it during the first hour. Then I notice something synthetic, potent, and woody—perhaps the incense, but I don’t recognize it; it’s more like synthetic thyme, a bit dirty, reminiscent of 80s air fresheners. I don’t detect the jasmine; it’s probably there for support but imperceptible. What I like most is the drydown: powerful, dry amber notes, like norlimbanol or ambroxan, which I love and are well-balanced. In summary, I like the opening and the base, but the heart misses. It’s neither super-commercial nor niche; the price is low, but that synthetic component isn’t well-balanced.
