Starts with short-lived citrus and a dry, almost salty papyrus touch before settling into the oud-rose combo. As it dries, it becomes more woody and balsamic with faint detergent-like clean notes, yet the oud remains, feeling highly westernized. Io Myself adds nothing new; it’s the trendy oud-rose that makes it dispensable. The only interesting part is the dry-down, which is very similar to the legendary Salvador Dali pour homme. Longevity is acceptable, but the projection is very intimate and soft for an oud, making it feel weak. Rating: 3
