Intimately Beckham Night for Men Is a Cozy 2007 Night-Out Scent

Intimately Beckham Night for Men by David Beckham is an Oriental Fougere fragrance for men launched in 2007. The name sets the tone: a denser, more enveloping take meant for after dark.

Listed ingredients include tonka bean, amber, floral notes, vetiver and patchouli. It holds a 3.97 out of 5 average from 113 ratings, showing steady approval from wearers.

As an Oriental Fougere, it pairs a classic aromatic fougere base with amber warmth. That structure was a go-to for masculine evening scents in the 2000s.

Tonka bean and amber drive the vanilla, sweet and warm-spicy accords. That core gives the cozy, rounded feel people associate with a night fragrance.

Floral notes soften the blend, while vetiver and patchouli add woods, earth and a drier aromatic edge. That explains the woody, earthy and aromatic accords in its profile.

In wear, it fits casual nights out and informal settings where a warm presence helps. It is not positioned as a fresh daytime scent, but as a straightforward evening option.

It will appeal to guys who like sweet, ambery evening scents in a classic 2000s style that are easy to wear with no niche fuss.

Overall, Intimately Beckham Night for Men delivers a simple nighttime oriental fougere: amber, tonka, vetiver and patchouli in a warm, direct register backed by a solid user score.

As a self-declared fan of Intimately by David Beckham, this flanker left me wanting, well smelling very little 😅 Intimately Night has nothing to do with its original fragrance, which has a delicate, spicy, powdery and ravishingly charming odor, while this one is a sweetish odor, much cruder, and you could come across similar odors on a night out in any shabby establishment. A vanilla-like note without being gourmand dominates the whole composition, with a very noticeable presence of undefined floral notes added. Likewise, from start to finish you very persistently feel an undeclared note of coconut (maybe the tonka bean itself) that gives it great creaminess and can become irritating at times. In my opinion it is a rather rough fragrance that lands in no man’s land and completely abandons that mysterious and sexy side of its predecessor. Intimately Night has been a disappointment, I have to recognize the hype always works against it. Likewise, something good must be highlighted, it has more projection and longevity than the original Intimately. I like its drydown a bit more but without going crazy because you still feel a screechy and unbalanced composition with many aspirations to be attractive that remains a mere attempt.

  2. It’s a unique odor, it’s sweet, soft, at first it’s a clearly nighttime floral explosion, once worn it quickly fades to leave only the sweet touch of the fragrance. I first used this perfume at 16-17 years old at a more than affordable price, now it’s very hard to find and doesn’t go below 60-70 euros, even so I’ve repurchased it and have it in my collection only for the favorite memories that come back every time I smell that sweet hit when I press the spray.. I recommend it for daily use and in good weather seasons, even on summer nights!

It’s a fragrance that fully enters to compete with Antonio Banderas’s perfume offering, and both houses have undoubtedly become so popular to the point of becoming too “common,” especially among younger people (which deep down is not something I dislike, quite the opposite, at least the new generations care about “wearing fragrance”). In fact, I had already smelled this fragrance in some places and didn’t know it was this one. The odor is pleasant, to say otherwise would be lying, yes it’s pleasant. The tonka bean is quite pronounced, followed by vetiver and floral notes. At least on skin, fixation is good. Its sillage is typical of most fragrances today, low to moderate. The longevity seemed better to me than many other recent fragrances. For a male target from 18 to about 38-40.
