I don’t get why there’s this interplay between the two versions, especially the Extrait in Alexandria, since they smell identical. It’s the same liquid in two bottles with different names; they smell good, but there’s no difference at all. I would have just bought one version since I don’t see the point.
It was selling like crazy on the website with tons of likes, so I thought, ‘Come on, it’s a favorite, it must be good,’ and it is. A gorgeous gourmand. At first, I noticed a smoky note on my skin that faded quickly, then a powerful sweetness kicked in—nothing like the description, more like candied almonds, a touch of jasmine, and a dry note that gives it formality and balances it out. The scent felt familiar, so I dug through my collection and found Burberry Her Intense; maybe a bit fruitier and flashier, but same style. Great sillage and longevity, highly recommend.
