  • Bought blind, I can’t call it a hit. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t project and seems generic, like I’ve heard this before. I don’t smell the honey, orange, or ginger, but rather a jumble that reminds me of some hairspray.

  • Anne Flipo had to be behind this! It’s no coincidence I like it; she’s behind many perfumes I adore (Manifesto, Olympea Aqua, LVEB, Lolita’s Sweet). It’s incredibly cozy, ideal for cold days, tender, warm, appetizing, and sensual; the one I’d take on a winter date or for personal enjoyment. All the notes are distinct, highlighting the honey, ginger, and orange. I love it. Personally, it smells like honey liqueur to me, slightly powdery, like vintage makeup. Despite how potent it smells in the bottle and how warm it is, it doesn’t last long.

  • Another blind buy that was spot on. Fortunately, I can smell the honey, which I like; it’s soft, versatile, sweet, and not cloying. Feminine with a soft sillage. It lasts about 4 hours on my skin; the more I use it, the more I love it.

  • Is Illicit the best feminine from Jimmy Choo? In my opinion, yes. It has sweet, amber, and slightly floral notes. While its longevity isn’t the best in the brand (the first one was gifted to my mom and lasted over 9 hours), it’s so well-executed and balanced. The opening features intense honey accompanied by ginger and ripe orange juice, with a dense, warm amber touch. Gradually, a white floral (jasmine and orange blossom) emerges, blending with vanilla and caramel, keeping the sweetness without becoming cloying. In the dry down, Cashmere and sandalwood accompany the honey and amber. I see it as versatile for autumn, spring, winter, and cool summer nights; it doesn’t saturate. It lasts 4-5 hours, with the last phase closer to the skin, and a moderate sillage for the first hour that wraps you in its sweet mantle.

  • What can I say about this perfume? They nailed it here; it’s refined, elegant, and smells expensive. I wear it on cold nights; it conveys seduction, is very feminine, and is one of those scents you can wear all day that lifts your mood. I love it and would buy it again.

Illicit is warm and sweet, but not cloying. It’s soft yet lasts well on skin and even better on clothes. On me, the honey, ginger, and sweetened citrus (without acidity) stand out, along with the woody touch of sandalwood. I love it for autumn when the weather turns crisp and I can pair it with light sweaters for this comforting scent.

  • Very rich and feminine. I agree with the previous reviewer; it’s ideal for cool weather because it feels warm and enveloping. It’s not a clone, but throughout my use, it gave me sensations very similar to Flowerbomb (and they share several notes).

  • A perfume divinity… a blend of honey, ginger, and caramel that wraps and embraces you… exquisite! Perfect for cold days or rain… excellent yet slightly underrated because it’s so good… well done, Jimmy Choo!

  • florencialmall

If you love sweet, elegant, and long-lasting perfumes, this is a great all-rounder; it projects incredibly well on my skin.

  • Karen Campos

In my opinion, it’s a sweet, fruity, slightly juicy fragrance. I detect honey throughout all phases, quite intense. The opening has very light citrus; I identify tangerine, not much ginger. Then in the dry-down, I perhaps sense some flowers. What I notice most is the honey, caramel, and some vanilla. In my judgment, it’s a linear fragrance. It’s rich, but it doesn’t impress me, nor does it dislike it. I sense a slight resemblance to JPG’s Scandal, probably due to the honey, though it’s not as long-lasting. Illicit lasts between 5 and 6 hours, which is fine; afterward, it’s more noticeable up close. I would buy it again… I think not; I’d look for more innovative scents.

  • Today I tested a decant of this fragrance. My favorite Jimmy Choo is Fever, and I wanted to know if Illicit, being honey-based, would appeal to me as much. At first, I noticed it resembled Fever but less fruity, with a lot of ginger. On skin, it feels super warm and sweet (not cloying), but unfortunately, the jasmine is very present, and, I don’t know, it just doesn’t convince me. There are perfumes I love where a note passes me by indifferent, but here I feel it a lot. I understand it’s a matter of personal taste; it’s a pleasant fragrance, sweet but not overwhelming, soft for cold days, but my favorite remains 100% Fever.

  • frambuesasfrescas

One of my favorites for everyday wear: sweet, spiced, woody, warm… all without being cloying or invasive. It’s versatile; I wear it to the office and enjoy it a lot.

  • Perla Vencis

As its name suggests, this perfume invites the forbidden. It opens with citrus (bitter orange and orange blossom) nicely paired with ginger. In the heart, a beautiful jasmine embraces the roses. The base features honey, amber, vanilla, sandalwood, and cashmere wood. It has evolution; all three phases are distinct. What remains on the skin is honeyed and woody jasmine. Based on its pyramid, I think it performs better in fall; I wouldn’t wear it in spring or summer. The projection is good for the first two hours, then it stays for personal enjoyment. I like wearing it on my skin; it makes me feel sexy.

  • Delicious; this one truly smells like honey—not synthetic or edible, but it smells great. The ginger at the start doesn’t bother me; on the contrary, I think it adds more character. I prefer it much more than Scandal.

  • juno-mermaid

My favorite Jimmy Choo. Actually, I’ve known about it for a while thanks to the ads with Sky Ferreira and I’m a fan, haha. I decided to try it and loved it. It smells like honey, but not that synthetic honey found in JPG’s Scandal. Every time I wear it, I get tons of compliments.

  • Reina Amigdala

What a beautiful scent! I’d almost say it’s a safe gift. Feminine, delicate, and sophisticated. The opening is orange and ginger, nothing piercing. Then the flowers come out, soft and non-invasive, with that honey that balances everything perfectly without being cloying, like natural honey. It lasts about 5 hours, has a low sillage, and stays well on clothes.

  • I got a decant hoping I’d like it because it’s a good price in Chile and based on reviews here, but it was a disappointment. It smells like a bar soap or lotion, like the classic red-capped Pomo. It gives off an earthy powder vibe that, while not a tragedy, just doesn’t convince me. I didn’t detect the bitter orange or ginger. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.

  • ferniesel

I tested it on my skin and was surprised it stayed on my wrist all day, marking my clothes and leaving a trail. I bought it and have no regrets. It’s sweet; you can taste the caramel and honey, but it’s not heavy. It’s feminine, elegant, and has personality while remaining delicate. Ideal for fall and winter. The longevity on skin isn’t the best, but on clothes it lasts days. For me, it’s a total yes.

  • This fragrance is exquisite, great balance. I bought it blind with a bit of fear that it might be too sweet and cloying, but it’s not: the opening is citrusy with a strong ginger note that gives it a special touch. As it dries down, it smells like honey, caramel, and vanilla, a warm scent like freshly baked cookies. If you like sweet but fresh perfumes without the cloying factor, I recommend Ilicit. You’ll love it as much as I do. It’s become a scent I always need to have. I’m using it now in autumn, the trail is moderate, I feel it lasts between 3 and 4 hours, I’m not bothered by having to reapply given the price. I think it works for almost any season, easy for daily wear, maybe not in summer, would need to try.

  • It was love at first sniff. I went looking for something else and ended up with this one. It comes out spicy, bitter, and sweet all at once, with a powdery touch but light—nothing grandma-like. That amber and honey vibe lasts all day without getting cloying; perfect for fresh days and nights. On my skin, it lasts about 6 hours. I recommend it, but as always, test before buying.

  • pmigarzabal

This is gorgeous 😍, my new signature scent. People can’t stop praising it, I just wish it lasted longer on the skin.

  • Andrea perfumona

Delicious, sweet, and citrusy, too bad it doesn’t project as much as I’d like. Beautiful scent.

  • I’d been wanting to try this for ages; seeing it so elegant and sophisticated made me think, ‘I have to try it!’ Luckily I grabbed a set with Jimmi Choo decants, and wow… the vanilla is super subtle, I think I’ve never heard anything like it, it’s original! On the wrist it doesn’t overwhelm or get cloying; it’s soft, milky, but veryyyyyy soft, the notes aren’t 100% noticeable, I caught the orange and I like it, but I’m worried about longevity… if it’s this soft on the wrist, I doubt it’ll last 6 hours. I give it an 8, I feel like I owe it to the longevity.

  • April_ethereal

I tried it yesterday and ugh, what a delight… smells clean and elegant, definitely my next purchase.

  • Nice perfume, not too cloying, but it is sweet, especially at first, which I don’t like—I prefer its dry-down and the honey scent. I find it slightly sensual.

  • Illicit is gorgeous—sweet but not cloying, feeling elegant and sensual. Every time I wear it, I feel the scent embracing me; it’s cozy. It’s my signature scent; even though I love florals, citrus, and fruity notes, I have a soft spot for Illicit because it’s a natural, soft sweetness. They say it’s discontinued, but here you can find it everywhere at a great price. If I have to complain, it’s the projection, which is moderate to soft, but I like it just fine. It’s my top backup and I truly love it, 10/10.

  • I agree with everyone: it’s sweet but not gourmand. The ginger gives it an original, warm touch. It evokes that rainy Sunday feeling on the couch, cozy and relaxed, with a good cup of tea in hand.

  • If you’re looking for a pure honey bomb, forget it—though the honey is noticeable, I expected more intensity. What really pops on my skin is the bitter orange, orange blossom, and lots of ginger. I don’t detect any jasmine or rose. It lasts about 6 hours with moderate sillage. It’s very elegant and versatile, but I’d only wear it in cold weather.

  • I’m just starting to use it and have a certain opinion. I like that it’s not a cloying honey; on the contrary, the orange and ginger balance it out and make it delicious to wear. It’s an elegant and feminine fragrance; I don’t see a young girl wearing it. Ideal for autumn climates in my opinion; I should see how it behaves in other seasons. Right now, I feel its sillage is super low and its longevity is short. It stays very close to the skin and projects nothing. It’s perfect for the office. What I like is that it’s not cloying; what I dislike is that it projects nothing. I’ll probably let it macerate and then see if my sense of smell adapts. The notes that stand out so far are orange, ginger, honey, and jasmine. It didn’t disgust me, but it didn’t enchant me either.

  • Daniel1107

It’s the first time I’ve used it, and I didn’t have much faith in it; it didn’t last on my skin at all 😣 but it did on my clothes 😊. I kept applying it, and its longevity extended ❤️😍👌 and I really like it.

  • Josfer0512

I bought it blind based on the notes and reviews. I expected something stronger, though it’s not ugly; the ginger note is what stands out the most, along with honey and caramel. It’s not that long-lasting on my skin, but I’ll give it a couple of months to mature. For me, perfumes must be memorable. We’ll see how it behaves. I must highlight that it’s elegant and wearable.

  • FloorPerfumeadicta

Illicit is a rich, sweet, sensual, and wearable perfume; it’s not cloying, ideal for all year round. You can smell the honey, orange, ginger, caramel, and florals. I like it, but it doesn’t kill me 😁😁; I’d prefer Scandal a thousand times, which is stronger, sweeter, and longer-lasting. I see Illicit as very subtle, more intimate, for daily use, staying very close to the skin with poor projection. It lasts me about 6h at most, very linear. I recommend it, 🎈try it before buying🎈. Scent 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Projection 5/10, Versatility 10/10, Packaging 9/10, Price/Quality 8/10. Would I buy it? NO, because it didn’t grab me at first and it lasts very little, 👎🏼😕

  • It’s a linear fragrance, but so well-blended: ginger, orange, honey, jasmine, and vanilla. It seems to improve over time in longevity and strength; when I apply it in the morning, I feel it all day until night without reapplying. It’s totally feminine, has distinction, and offers a lot for the price because it’s a different aroma. I want to always have it.

  • This perfume has the same vibe as Chanel Allure but at a ridiculous price. Obviously, it doesn’t have as much body or last for hours, but for €30 for 100ml, you can reapply it as much as you want. It’s sweet, floral, and woody, especially when dry. It’s not cloying, not suffocating, and it’s some of the finest and most elegant. Very wearable in moderate temperatures. If you like Allure, buy it blind without thinking twice.

  • It’s a sweet yet fresh fragrance; the honey and florals are very noticeable. It’s super feminine. I’m more of a unisex perfume person, but this is truly delicious; I wouldn’t wear it myself, but I’d love to smell it on someone in the street or close by. It feels like an aroma someone aged 20 to 60 could wear without issue; it’s cheerful, warm, and represents spring very well.

  • It’s a pretty perfume, and if you’re not into very sweet fragrances, you might not like it. I was a bit disappointed because I expected to smell more honey, but I perceive much more caramel. I would use it only in autumn or winter.

  • What a beautiful perfume! It’s sweet and sophisticated. Illicit stands out because it’s pleasant and unique. We often associate sweetness with something inelegant or teenage, like sticky candies, and many current perfumes fall into that cloying gourmand cliché, abusing vanilla just to sell more. They usually smell like vanilla with coconut, lemon, or wood, and that bores me due to lack of spark. Illicit is different. Its sweetness shines through a honey-syrup note that doesn’t feel plastic and blends perfectly with caramel and a touch of vanilla. It balances that sweetness with mature citrus, ginger, and florals, with jasmine taking the lead alongside musk to provide cleanliness. I love wearing it alone, but it also works for mixing with white florals or woods to break up seriousness. It pairs well with simple citrus fragrances, adding an ideal floral and honey touch for hot days without suffocating. I’ve been searching for a real honey note for a while and tried several synthetics, like Candid Tonight by Maison Alhambra, which is rich but has patchouli and didn’t convince me. Now that I have both, I notice the sparkling ginger in Illicit gives it a more cheerful vibe compared to the serious patchouli in Candid. It attracts young girls in their 20s but suits all ages; the key is that youthful energy. I don’t understand the marketing hype regarding what it conveys. They say it lasts long, but on my dry skin, it lasts about 2 hours distinctly, and by hour 5, it’s faint. Definitely try it before buying. Despite the longevity, it feels wonderful, and I enjoy it every time it passes my nose. It’s staying in my collection, and I hope they don’t discontinue it because it makes me feel good.

  • aleejaa_sanzz

One of the most overlooked perfumes I know. Many sweet scents, especially vanilla-caramel ones, tend to be overwhelming and cloying. For me, Illicit is the perfect spring fragrance: it’s one of the few sweets that doesn’t turn me off. The honey-vanilla blend is rare but precious, and the white florals, cashmere, and sandalwood add a fresh touch that makes it pleasant even in the heat. My only gripe is the short longevity, but if you apply cream or Vaseline underneath, it lasts almost all day. Plus, it’s perfect for mixing. Since I love sweets, I mix it with my Victoria’s Secret Bare Vanilla, but if you want to add a sweet touch to floral or woody fragrances, I 100% recommend it.
