It’s a great synthesis of the power of the 80s and the florals of the 90s. It opens with bergamot, soft anise, neroli, and an intense floral sensation with lavender. In the heart, geranium and carnation hold their ground with coriander and aldehydes. At 7 hours, a deep amber with musk and moss emerges; by 10 hours, it’s the same but with more vetiver and moss; by 12 hours, I notice leather. The dry down is long, classic, and amber-musky. It shares a style with fragrances from that era like Salvador de Dalí or Ralph Lauren Safari, with fresh top and heart notes, but it stands out for its oriental finish and lack of prominent woods. It has a powerful to moderate sillage, lasting over 16 hours. The fresh opening makes it good for transitional seasons, but its oriental facet suits winter better. With a touch of sweetness, it’s elegant and striking, just like the red of its bottle. Apparently discontinued, it’s a real rarity in Latin America; some say it’s hard to find even in Italy. If you spot it in some forgotten corner and you love old-school oriental fougères, I highly recommend it.
It’s a perfect blend of the power of the 80s and the florality of the 90s: it starts with bergamot, anise, neroli, and lots of lavender. In the heart, geranium and carnation keep that floral vibe with coriander and aldehydes. At 7 hours, it smells like deep amber mixed with musk and moss; by 10 hours, it stays similar but vetiver and moss become more noticeable. By 12 hours, leather appears. The dry down is long, classic, and amber-musky. It shares many notes and a style with fragrances from its time, like Salvador de Dalí or Ralph Lauren Safari, especially in those fresh top and heart notes, though it distinguishes itself with an oriental touch at the end and by not highlighting woods as much. It has a powerful to moderate sillage but lasts over 16 hours. The fresh opening makes it great for mild seasons, but that oriental finish makes it ideal for winter. With its sweet and elegant touch, it’s striking, just like the red of its bottle. Apparently discontinued, it’s a real rarity in Latin America; it might be hard to find even in Italy. If you catch it in some forgotten corner and you like old-school oriental fougères, I recommend it.
I absolutely loved it. I wore it in the 90s and it made me feel happy; it had a blackberry note with a fresh, fruity vibe, at least that’s how I perceived it.
