Hatria by Angela Ciampagna is an aromatic woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2015, this composition features the olfactory signature of its creator, Angela Ciampagna. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of saffron, cloves, and jasmine; a heart of rose, caramel, oud wood, and Gurjum balsam; and a base revealing patchouli, musk, nagarmota (cypriol), myrrh, gaiac wood, and sandalwood.

Solid choice if you’re looking for rose, oud, and saffron. It’s true it’s not original and you’ll likely get a sense of olfactory déjà vu; it reminds me of Armaf’s Shades Wood or Monotheme’s Rose Oud. Perfect for nightwear, especially at parties. Scent: 9, Longevity: 9, Projection: 8, Value: 5, Versatility: 7, Originality: 5, Overall: 8.
For the price, it sounds like a generic perfume with nothing to highlight… It’s not bad, but it’s not worth spending a fortune on. Plus, the projection is very weak. If you’re looking for roses with that dark edge, there are options 1,000 times better, like Beaufort London’s Acrasia.
Soft pink oud with that dusty note I’ve encountered in a thousand perfumes… but what gives this the twist? I can’t find it. Maybe because it sounds a bit ‘fake’; I usually associate these accords with loud, sweet oriental fragrances, and this one lacks spark or authenticity. That said, if you like the pink/oud blend but are scared of how potent it can be, this is the version for you.
